THIS RESTAURANT IS BY FAR THE BEST ASIAN FOOD YOU WILL EVER EAT! THE FLAVORS AND SPICES ARE VERY EXOTIC NOT TO BE FOUND IN ANY OTHER RESTAURANTS IN OUR AREA. I HAVE TRAVELLED EXTENSIVELY AND HAVE NEVER EATEN A BETTER ASIAN MEAL ANYWHERE ELSE. FAVORITES ARE THE SALAD PHNOM PEHN, PAD THAI AND THE NUMBER 97 - BEEF MAH RASS PROWT.
A MUST FOR EXOTIC FOOD LOVERS!!!

Okay, so it's not a palace. So what! It's the best Asian cuisine in the area. I am a regular customer. After at least 25 visits, I still try something new and different everytime. I have never been disappointed. Their salad Phenom Penh is the best $4.95 ever spent on a salad, and everything on the menu is reasonably priced. Ingredients are fresh and healthy, and full of flavor. Hands down my FAVORITE restaurant.

It was on the top 10 list in Zaggat survey so I tried it out. Appetizer was greasy and didn't seem very authentic. You could get it at any Asian restaurant. Entree was average, the spices were great but, once again, I think I could go to any number of Asian restaurants and get something just as good. There was only one server for six tables and it was hard to get her attention. Maybe my expectations were too high.

I've ate at the place a few times of the years. One should shurely give it a try. They should try to remodel the place --it's a bit dated and appear not exactly clean. Then again most likely on par for the hood they're in...

I haven't been here is quite a while, but was eager to go when friends suggested. We arrived at 5:20 on a Saturday and only a couple other tables were seated. It was disappointing that nearly 30 minutes transpired from the time our party of 4 received the first entree and the last one. Not only was our last entree delivered very late to our table, but when it was initially ready it was given to another table and then had to be recooked (well, at least I hope it was.)
Of the four dishes we had, two were excellent in taste, one was a noodle dish with a sliced spring roll on top and the other was a completely meat dish with a great sauce. The pad thai was average. The other dish was shrimp with garlic and was one pictured in their menu. The picture looked good and the description sounded yummy as well so it was a great surprise when we bit into one of the shrimps that was covered with a highly seasoned coating that the shrimps were not shelled. Were we supposed to eat the shells?? Once the shimps were removed there was none of the great flavor from the coating left. We were stumped.
Overall the whole experience was not one I enjoyed. Service was slow in taking our order and receiving our food, although they were pleasant and prompt in refilling our drinks. I had expected this dining experience to be more of a 'hit' then a 'miss'.

Phnom Phen has excellent food. And I do mean EXCELLENT! Their prices are reasonable, and the staff genuine. There is a reason their fans drive from the burbs to eat there, even though it is located in Cleveland. Great Vietnamese food, ranging from mild to spicy. Many seafood dishes too! A must 'gastronomical excursion'!

Tiny Phnom Penh couldn't be more unassuming if it tried, but the seats here are filled because of the food and not the decor; why bother looking at the walls, when there are so many interesting things happening on your plate? The little storefront restaurant has a devoted fan base, and parking is scarce both outside and inside. Phnom Penh's menu, however, is extensive, offering a variety of Cambodian noodle dishes with beef, pork, shrimp or chicken. Portion sizes are also generous, so if you come with a group, order a few to share, and split the leftovers. When ordering pad thai (or many of the other entrees), diners can choose their heat level; ""mild"" has a bit more warmth than one might expect, so order accordingly.

This is a little tiny gem you should try to visit soon. Don't miss the cambodian salad..large and wonderful. I could eat just that for lunch. They don't take credit cards here, so take cash. Two different times when we were there, the kitchen help were singing cambodian songs while they were cooking...nice mural on the wall showing khmer. Parking is a problem though, we park on a side street and walk over.
