Reviews of Piatto

It's earned abundant accolades - such as Live's readers' choice as one of the best restaurants in Akron - and Piatto continues to prove itself worthy of such distinction. Impeccable service sets the standard, and the meal follows suit. For a light but satisfying appetizer, try the terrina con caprino: Locally produced goat cheese oozes out of a roasted red pepper, creating a savory spread for the slices of grilled bread. Piatto perfects linguini alla bolognese by including tender lamb, sausage and beef in the fresh tomato sauce. The lasagne verdi deviates from traditional lasagna; rich, creamy Gorgonzola cheese bathes layers of spinach pasta and smoked chicken. And, while the exceptional food and service provide sufficient sophistication, the elegantly modern decor reinforces it.

The Best of Akron
How fortunate we are to have such an amazing restaurant close to home. Having eaten all over the world, I can honestly say that Exec. Roger Thomas brings true Italian food to us. From the amazing foccacia created with his own starter to the silky smooth texture of his handmade pastas and the beauty of his wood grilled calamari, Piattos soars above the mark every time. Piattos is a very elegantly appointed restaurant with an experience staff and interesting and well priced wine list. You won't be disappointed...just addicted for life. Enjoy!

Best for price
I have eaten at Piatto twice. And it is an excellent place. Great food and service. It truly is the best if Akron. Beautiful view of the field and a wonderful view of the open kitchen the bar is like you would expect of a fine dining astablishment. I encourage anyone to go there that is in or around the Akron area. You will not be dissapointed. Alan Place
