Great for Couples and Groups
This restaurant is one of my favorites. The food is really good, though I wish they would offer a few more vegetarian entrees. I do recommend their pizzas; they have a great flavor and you could add a small salad or a bowl of their soups (French Onion or Beer Cheese Soup, which is out of this world) to make a very tasty meal. If you are a chicken fan, they offer a popular Rotisserie Chicken entree that is beautiful and food enough for a couple of meals. Everyone I know who tried this raved about it. Even though this is a bit upscale, it is not unusual to see people in jeans. If you go in the evenings, especially on the weekends, people seem to be a bit more dressed up. Just in case a meal isn't enough, there is also a comedy club, martini bar, and cabaret show to make this a one stop desintination for couples looking for a romantic evening or a group of friends or family searching for a fun get-together. I suggest calling ahead for reservations for Friday and Saturday nights, as this is one popular venue.

Pick Pickwicks for a night out
After a nice afternoon in Cleveland, my girlfriend and I wandered around looking for somewhere to eat. We stumbled down E 4th Street, the lights hanging across the alley from building to building caught our eye. We were greeted by a very nice hostes outside. We decided to eat on the patio after looking inside, we werent really dressed for that upper scale type of club/restaurant. I highly recomend asking for Tony to be your waiter. He is very quick, and down to earth and does not neglect your table. We each had fish, go with the special, they are very very good. I will definantly go back. The meal was fairly priced for the portions and they have delicious bread.

This multilevel entertainment venue has weathered its first years in the restaurant/bar/comedy club/cabaret biz and shows no signs of stopping. Dining at Pickwick remains a surprisingly good value in spite of the downtown location and upscale atmosphere: An extensive menu, generous but not insultingly large portions and interesting preparations are well worth the price, which falls between $15 and $29 for dinner entrees. It's also fun to order several appetizers - perhaps baked Brie en croute, crispy hand-cut fries and the popular fire breads and spreads - for splitting and sharing. Also not to be missed are Pickwick's cocktails, whether consumed in the street-level dining room or in Kevin's, the swank subterranean martini bar. Classic cocktails, from the demure mint julep to the strident Rusty Nail, take their rightful place on the menu along with trendier concoctions.
