What a great find
My wife and I found this place while visiting friends in Euclid. We had some time to kill so we went to have a drink and an appetizer-this place came highly recommended! We sat at the bar, Tim was our bartender. He was awesome!! My wife drinks wine, I am a beer drinker. We asked for a drink menu, before we opened it, Tim asked us what our preferences were. As soon as we told him our taste he had several suggestions. We where very pleased with his recommendations. I had a bourbon stout , and my wife really enjoyed the Lorello blend from our own state of Ohio! We actually stayed a lot longer then we should have, but we had a great time! We also ordered the artichoke gratina that was to die for! Hats off to a great place!

Stick with the pizza and burgers
Perhaps BC is trying to stretch a bit too far. The sandwiches and some of the starters were great - my Pad Thai was good but the sauce was from a bottle - actually, I think it's the same one I have at home. The service was so slow we actually considered leaving... twice... and there were empty tables - no excuse for poor service in this economy. Money is tight - I expect you to WANT me to come back. Next time, our money goes back to Bistro 185 - NEVER been disappointed there.

Stick with the Pizzas
The restaurant is neighborhood-y. It's rather small, but comfortable. The service is all over the place, some people are top notch and others are terrible.
The last time I visited, about one month ago, I had a cuban sandwich. It wasn't an authentic cuban sandwich, but it was really good and very large. I took much of it home. I was with a very large group of people, sandwiches and pizzas were very satisfying, more complicated entrees were highly disappointing. Stay away from the fish entrees.
Euclid needs more good restaurants. Beach Club started out really solid, most everything on the menu was a good bet.
There have been some big changes: expanded dining area, new chef (s?), and I believe a new owner. Unfortunately, the food quality has slipped during the changes. However, the pizzas are excellent. Always.

cheating on tipping
I was disappointed on Mother's Day to find an 18% gratuity added on to the bill. First, the ad for the special dinner did not mention the mandatory gratuity. Second, it was buffet dinner so why an 18% tip? And lastly, the tip was figured on an after tax total. The manager insisted everyone tips based on after tax totals, but according to the New York Times and Chicago Tribune he is wrong.

Beach Club Bistro is nestled in one of several thoughtfully restored low brick storefronts along Lake Shore Boulevard. Here, the bar is at one address, the adjoining dining room is next door, and both are done in retro-chic terra-cotta and turquoise, with exposed brick and tin ceilings adding texture and history. The Bistro offers a selection of specialty pizzas - quite good - with thin crust that stays crisp despite heaps of quality toppings. The rolled eggplant is something of a miracle casserole: How can thin slices of eggplant stuffed with whipped ricotta taste as light as cheese-filled crÉpes? Smoked mozzarella adds another dimension to the flavor, as does the mild, chunky tomato sauce. The menu changes seasonally, and the wine list contains pleasant surprises, including several vintages available by the half-bottle. Competent service, pleasant and ultra-clean surroundings, and value-priced food earn Beach Club Bistro two thumbs way up.
