A symphony of food in your mouth
I’ve been going to Beachcliff Tavern since the new owners. I have been one of their customers from a previous location. The staff and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. I love their food so much that I can’t get enough of it. I can have this food for the rest of my life and I will still not be tired of it. I honestly can’t pick just one food since I’ve tried so many different orders from the menu and I loved them all. One salad that I truly love has fresh lettuce, red onion, tomatoes etc. blue cheese, dried cranberries (and at the old location they use to add nuts which I would love if they will add them back, unfortunately with peoples allergies they took them off) and grilled chicken and the best homemade apricot vinaigrette. Having a bite of this salad and having all this flavors mixed in your mouth, the crunchiness of the lettuce and nuts and the freshness of the onion and tomatoes, combined with the sweetness of the cranberries mixed with the flavor of the grilled chicken with just the right touch of saltines from the blue cheese, is what I call a symphony in your mouth. I go and eat out in a lot of different places but this place is by far the best. Let me put it this way, three years ago my husband had a surprise party for my birthdaythere. Today my guests are still talking about how delicious the food was.

Horrible service and lousy perch!!
Went Fri. June 10th had a taste for a perch dinner and my previous visits were fantastic. Raved about it. Well this visit between an uninterested waiter who failed to put a placemat down, deliver rolls, refilled my coke with ice tea left me not wanting to ever go back!!! I ordered the perch dinner large $15.99 and a cup of shrimp bisque (which was good). Pierogi's were hard, batter fell off the fish and had no taste. Some of the filets tasted very fishy. I left most of it. Waiter came by asked how is everything? I said awful and he just looked at me not saying anything. I flagged down another person because I thought he was the owner and told her about my meal she advised me he was just a waiter. Well he came back and asked if I wanted to get a box for my meal I laughed and said didn't you hear me say the food was bad even asked if they got a new cook. Gave me the bill $33.95 and said sorry there was no manager there on duty. Then they had the nerve after the tax on the bill they rounded it off. I probably won't go back there and will tell my previous friends about my experience. Can't believe they didn't take it off my bill or ask me if I wanted something else or offer to have the manager call me. I noticed their website has no way to contact them except to call which I may do!!!

Engagement Party
I had my engagement party there and it was great. Even months later I am having family members still talk about the great food and how much fun it was. The party room is great and can be set up in many different ways and it can fit up to 100 people. Very clean everywhere. The service was great too. The shock was at the end when I realized that after all that eating and drinking our bill was half of what I had been quoted everywhere else. I am going back this year to have my bridal shower and my rehersal dinner there. They can do buffet, family style or sit down.

I felt like I left America
I was very disappointed in my visit here. We had dinner and 4 drinks each and our bill was $72 plus they will preauthorize your card with 20% gratuity added in. Keep in mind it was just the 2 of us sitting at the bar. The food was average at best. The bartender went out of her way to avoid making eye contact with us and we frequently had empty glasses. What really bothered me was Everyone in there was not speaking english. It was really wierd. Even the waitresses and the cook were hanging out with what seemed like some lebanese mafia of some sort. Us being a middle class white couple felt extremely out of place and uncomfortable. We will not be back.

Best Kept Secret on Westside of Cleveland.
Well the place is beautiful inside and out. Service is excellent. They have a nice atmosphere, especially if your on a date. I really enjoy going there because it is never over-crowded. As I said, It's the best kept secret. Actually, I don't understand why it wasn't packed? The food is exellent (I recomend the Chicken Marsala!). The only thing Negative was that the food was a bit cold when we got it. I think they need more servers or help in the kitchen. But this is definately worth it! Great prices and great food. Wonderful atmosphere!

Disappointing at best
Friday, October 23, 2009 for dinner ...
The food (ribs, chicken sandwich, burger, salad) quality was average.
Three of the five meals went back to the kitchen to be re-heated.
Tonight they could have used more servers and more kitchen help.
It may not be fair to judge a restaurant from a single experience. On the other hand, my experience was bad enough that I won't risk a repeat nor will I recommend it to anyone that asks.

The best place ever!!!
this restaurant is fun and affordable for anyone, the restaurant is very welcoming and the mood is just right. they always play the late's music and it's always up-beat. The place is clean. The workers are very friendly and nice. Al one of the (co-owners) is just so sexy!
If you want to have fun The Beach Cliff tavern is the place to be, especially when game seasons are around it makes it great to watch it in their big flat screen TV's.

Party Place
The staff is over accomodating when it comes to catering needs. The food is terrific, the staff is friendly and helpful, and everything is done on time. What a wonderful way to entertain friends and/or family. I have been a guest of several parties held in the party room and all were a lot of fun!! I bring family, co workers and friends in often for a bite to eat or just a quick drink. Keep up the good work. See you on August 15th for another great event!

The very very very best Friday Fish Fry
My wife and I go EVERY Friday. We order the basket of 14 perch fish fillets for 19.95 with two ice cold mugs of beer. It is, seriously, the best tasting, most fantastic perch you can possibly imagine. It is as fresh as can be and tastes soooooo good. Actually, it really can't be described -- its THAT good. The music is not too loud so you can talk comfortably with your sweetheart. Bring friends, we usually do.

More than a year ago, veteran restaurateur Tommy Valore moved back to the Rocky River neighborhood, in which he had built a sizable clientele and a strong reputation with Tommy's. His rep remains sterling: Valore makes sure his customer is well fed and well treated. Want the Tommy Burger with fries and a mug of Harp? No problem. The presentation and the service will be as first-class as if you had ordered the lightly seasoned chicken, the ample strip steak or the St. Louis-style ribs. While priced appropriately for its discerning suburban habitues, Beachcliff Tavern is anything but stuffy, with ESPN usually flickering away on the six TV sets and a classic bar that serves elbow room as well as firewater. Valore has also opened up a party room, complete with a stage, to showcase local musical talent. A tip for the devout TGIF celebrant: Get a seat before happy hour, or prepare to stand.
