My boyfriend and I go to Sakura at least once a month for their sushi. We especially love the eel and cucumber. The ingredients are always fresh, and the sushi comes with a nice bit of wasabi and ginger. Not only is the sushi excellent, but also a great price. I've never had any of their other food, but I imagine it would be just as good. The atmosphere is pretty nice, definately quiet. We've also had really wonderful service, the waitresses have always been very attentive, but not overbearing. I'd definately recommend this if you are looking for a quiet dinner, or a business lunch, or just some fantastic sushi.

I ordered the steak and shrimp. The meal was absolutely delicious and more than any one person could finish. I was there for a birthday party. Not only did the staff go out their way, they provided us with entertainment the entire evening. I feel they are cheaper than the other major steak house and the food was much better.

Offers every type of Japanese food imaginable; including bento, sushi & hibachi. You get the entertainment of seeing the chef cook it in front of you with all the razzle-dazzle knife work. Or you can eat any kind of sushi. If it's not on the menu, tell them what you want and they'll make it for you. I love the snow-mountain (with real crab meat), manhattan roll (with real lobster)and the sakura roll (with shrimp and fish). Full service bar rounds out the biggest selection of food you'll find anywhere in Cleveland. I've been to almost every Japanese restaurant in town and this one is my favorite. Although Ginsu does a little more artistic work with their sushi, the quality at Sakura is every bit as good and the price is much better. A great value overall. The place is large and nicely decorated, enough for some atmosphere, but not impressive. Service is excellent and friendly.

This restaurant features dishes that are quite authentic in taste (and in presentation) to food in Japan. The sushi is always fresh and there are many choices of cooked foods. Excellent tempura. My favorite is the chicken konkatsu. Reasonably priced lunch and bento box specials. This would be a good restaurant for a lunch date, or for friends to meet who want a quiet place to linger over their food and talk. It is resonably priced, the food is consistently good, and the staff is attentive, but doesn't hover around your table.

Love sushi? Bring a friend to Sakura, the Lakewood Japanese mainstay, and go overboard with the Love Boat for Two: A wooden ship docks at your table with a cargo of sushi, sashimi, hand rolls and chef's specials. Not in the mood to go raw? Other entree options include tempura, noodle dishes and grilled teriyaki with chicken, beef or seafood. If you prefer showmanship with your food, sit at one of four grill tables, and order a hibachi dinner; chefs in tall red hats do the stir-fry two-step with sizzle and style. The spacious dining room also includes a sushi bar, where you can watch your spicy maki combo or tuna tataki take shape, and a standard-issue bar serving top-shelf sakes, Japanese beer and a host of nontraditional cocktails.
