Where's The Shrimp!!!
The food here is always great however. My last visit was not good. We waited 15minutes before someone asked for our drink order. My fiancee ordered a glass of wine it was spilling over and made a mess on the table, the server never acknowledged it. He ordered General TSO's Chicken I ordered Shrimp Lo Mein. The first service came with a plate of shrimp fried rice, we told him this wasn't our order. Another returned with the same dish once again we told the server this wasn't our order. Once our food did arrive I was served chicken lo mein instead of the shrimp lo mein. This wasn't a good experience...

Dinner and a Show
Our family and extended members frequent shows and events at Playhouse Square. The Siam Cafe is our first choice for a pre-show dinner. The food is fabulous and the atmosphere friendly and interestingly busy. We have been eating there since the mid 1990's and have always had excellent meals and service. The Siam Cafe has been recommended to many friends.

My favorite for years!
I have been going to the Siam Cafe since I worked downtown in the late 90's as a lunch spot. Now I work in the suburb, but I have never stopped going to the Siam! The curry rice is to die for and so are the spring rolls! I started taking my children as soon as they were old enough and we order and eat family style, so we can try something new and also enjoy the family favorites! Those are Chicken & Broccoli, Mongolian Beef BBQ, Steak Kew and Summer Rolls (very different than spring rolls). Just awesome! I love this place!

Steak Kew Very Much!
I really like this restaurant because of it's authenticity. It has a wide variety of menu items to choose from but the Steak Kew is a small piece of heaven. For lunch you get just the right portion of steak cubed and seasoned to perfection, along with a few spears of broccoli, a tasty spring roll and your choice of rice, I like the yellow with raisins. It will make the second half of the work day so much more enjoyable. The staff is great and professional.

Very well done Siam Cafe
I took my mom(who is Thai) ,her husband ,my wife and son on the Chinese New Year last night.
Its hard enough for a place to do good Chinese..let alone Thai,Chinese and Vietenese.
The fried rice is among the best in Cleveland. Thats something the Chinese do really well.
I ordered the Tom Yom Goong soup...it is mild compared to the traditional Thai but it is still tasty on a winter night...order it though with lemon.
I recomend the whole fried flounder with sauce and spicey basil fried rice.
Our server was really funny and did his best on a real busy night.

Satisfaction At Siam's
My husband and I made a weekend visit to Cleveland for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. We asked the conciere at Wyndham Garden to suggest a great Chinese Food Restaurant, and they took us to Siam Cafe. There was a wedding reception going on, but, we were accomodated as if we were part of the wedding. It was fantastic! The food was excellent, the waitstaff were second to none. I have since refered several business partners there and plan to go again before the year ends! What a wonderful warm& friendly place.

I really just can not see myself anywhere but Siam! The only close not so good experience was the last time I was there, the service was rushed due to being BUSY!!

Best in Cleveland
We have been eating there since early 1994, average 10 - 12 times a year. Biggest plus is that food taste and quality are consistant, most times no surprise or disappointment. When it is crowded, seating can be very unconfortable, tables are too close to each other.

I will give it another try
My family eats there often. The food is good, and the quality is comparable to food from other restaurants in China town. However, last time we went there it was a huge disappointment. We ordered the fish head bowl. The dish should be made with bighead carp, but they used the common carp. Common carp is cheap and most people would never eat. On the top of that, the fish was contaminated bile. That made the dish inedible. Add insult to injury, the spinach was old and not fresh.
I will go there again, but it will be months later.

Consistently Great
This has been one of our family favorites for years. It is the rare restaurant that can do three different, distinctive cuisines (Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese) and do all consistently very well. The Thai curries rank with some of the best in northeast Ohio and are as good as those we ate in Thailand. When we get Vietnamese cravings (8 years of living in the Twin Cities with its huge Vietnamese community and great restaurants taught us to love this stuff) the Vietnamese dishes are always good, fresh and tasty (I especially like the Xao Bun.) And the Chinese dishes are exciting. The Clay pot dishes (try the beef short ribs in pepper sauce) are hard to find in this area and just wonderful. I just wish we could get there more often.

One of My Old Standbys
This is one of my regular lunch spots. The food is consistent, the vast majority of the servers are pleasant, and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable.
My favorite item, by far, on the menu is the goi cuon (spelling?). It's a rice paper roll (like an egg roll but not fried) filled with rice noodles, bean sprouts, shrimp, pork, cucumber, and lettuce. It's almost guilt-free and extremely satisfying. It is an appetizer, but sometimes I just order two servings and have this for my whole meal. At $2.95 per order, this is really cheap lunch.
The pad thai is excellent. When I do take out, an order of pad thai is a necessity.
A really cool thing about this restaurant is the live fish tanks. I'm not a big fish person, but I have had the traditional steamed fish here. It was interesting. The fish comes out with it's scales, head, and tail. It's a bit intimidating but really a fun experience (although pricey, ~ $27 for a large fish, can't remember what kind, bass maybe?) Oh, and this isn't technically a Chinese restaurant, you won't find egg rolls here. There are some "Chinese" dishes, but this is actually a Vietnamese and Thai restaurant. So if you're looking for specific Chinese dishes, you may be disappointed.

I am for Siam!!!
I am Asian, and I love this place!!! The food is always fresh, and delicious, let alone...abundant! Prices are affordable too! The atmosphere can be noisy during the weekend, and on a Friday night it's practically packed, but the food is worth it! The staff has always been friendly, and fast. Just make sure to let them know, if you're in a hurry, and they'll accomodate. I've never been disappointed! It's a fun place to be....if you're hungry!!!

Best of Chinese
First off, Siam Cafe is my favorite chinese restaurant. I have not tried their Thai menu all that much, but for chinese, they consistently serve up fresh and tastey food! If you are unsure what to order, you are best going with a group and trying out their group special from the Chinese menu. You won't be sorry. They have a variety of chinese tea for you to drink with your meal.

The large, open dining rooms of local favorite Siam Cafe are sure to be packed at lunch, but this doesn't keep the downtown and East Side office types from trying to snag a table. The menu here is the draw, not the atmosphere, and Siam Cafe offers enough choices to make return visits necessary. The lunch menu is a (slightly) abbreviated version of the huge dinner menu, which offers Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese dishes under the headings of soup, lobster and crab, seafood, poultry, fish, frog, beef and pork, vegetable and bean curd, casserole, rice and noodle soup (just to name a few). Our recommendation? Go with a large group and share - unless, that is, you want to keep the spiced beef with jellyfish all to yourself. Less adventurous eaters will do well here, too, as standards such as pork lo mein and sweet-and-sour chicken are also available.
