Overcharge!
They overchared me for beers. I was there for drinks with some former co-worksers and did not have as much to drink as they did, but was charged for the same # of drinks as them. The service is not good as many others have stated.

Learn to spell!
This review is based simply on the reviews of others...if you are going to CRITIQUE another, please use proper spelling and grammar. I've eaten at the Fairview Tavern 10+ times. They have $5 pizza on Sunday and Monday which is phenomenal. Yes, the service is slow and you have to wait, but it's a bar - what do you expect? It's worth waiting for, the people are friendly, and the food is great. Go in expecting a neighborhood bar and that's what you will get.

Steaks cannot be beat!
Saturday Night Steak Special with Kettle Chips. Steak was perfectly cooked, seasoned and was tasty. Salad is HUGE, the kettle chips yummy.
The rear of the restaurant is a bit dark and dreary as there are no side windows. Sit in the front window & watch the people pass by.
Service could use a bit of a *pick me up*, but otherwise,,,good

Could have done without
The fish was below average at best, cole slaw the size of a quarter.no salad,no rolls, bad frozen fries.This was the 10.00 special, it matched the service,terrible!The short blond needs to work on grammar and attitude

GORDON RAMSEY....HELP!!!!!!!!
WHILE THE FOOD IS PRETTY GOOD ...THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE.WE HAVE GIVEN FAIRVIEW TAVERN MANY CHANCES SINCE IT OPENED...BUT YOUR SERVERS AND BARTENDERS ARE THE WORST! SO MUCH SO THAT WE DON'T WANT TO COME BACK! EXTREMELY UNFRIENDLY SERVERS AND BARTENDERS! THEY ARE DOWN RIGHT BITCHY... RIGHT FROM THE GET GO! NOT TO MENTION VERY SLOW SERVICE!! YOU NEED GORDON RAMSEY TO SAVE YOU FROM THIS KITCHEN NIGHTMARE! DECENT FOOD IS NOT ENOUGH! IT WOULD NICE TO FEEL WELCOME!
