Reviews of Sun Luck Garden

Take a seat at one of Sun Luck Garden's dozen tables and prepare to have a different sort of Chinese restaurant experience. The interior is no-frills, but pleasant and colorful, and all your favorites are present on the extensive menu (in fact, Sun Luck's carryout menu is strictly basics). However, diners will find some delicious departures worth exploring on many return visits. Tender chicken and fresh green beans in a rich, garlicky black-bean sauce is a light, simple dinner; honey walnut chicken combines a riot of vegetables and walnuts with chicken in a spicy sauce that slowly but surely radiates heat. Guests who are curious about the differences between different types of Chinese cuisine - Szechuan, Hunan and Mandarin - will be pleased to find brief explanations of each on the menu. Friendly Chef Annie and her staff will be happy to answer any questions and tell you about the day's specials and desserts, which are as likely to include chocolate pecan pie and strawberry shortcake as almond float, a more traditional Chinese specialty.
