A Special Place in My Heart (and Stomach)
Taco Tonto's is my go to place - fresh, tasty, normal people who are not clones to take your order, eat in or take out - I'm proud to have it in Kent. The salads are excellent and the special burritos have a special place in my heart - this fall they had a sweet potatoe/chicken combo to die for. Not a rice overload. Thank you Tonto.

decades of great food
i first went to taco tonto's years ago at walters cafe . i cried when i thought the closing of walter's would be the end of my el biggo combo. then they popped up at the loft. when they opened their own space i was estatic. i tell everyone i can to shun big biz burritos and shun the "flat world " mind dead like the bad review guy. i introduced my wife to this place when we dated . i hope to die first as with all great loves. taco tonto's ad infinitum

Taco Tontos is the BEST !!!
I couldn't disagree more the Einhard's review ! I lived in Kent and Akron for many years before moving to Oregon 10 years ago. I couldn't get enough of their delicious food. We got carry out from there at least twice a week. We always took our friends there when they would come into town to visit and they ALL loved it and insisted on eating there when they came back to visit. When we go back to Ohio to visit, we always stop by Taco Tontos and buy about a dozen large burritos (el biggos they call them) and bring them back to Oregon with us. The chicken and the combo burritos are their best in my opinion. And they have the best hot sause that I have ever tasted. We usually bring back 2-3 tubs of that also. The food is GREAT and for what you get very well priced. And we have always found the staff friendly and courteous.

A Great Restaraunt, Without the Franchise
This place is a great, tasty, and delicous place to eat, in the great town of Kent. the einhard guy is a moron. taco tontos is colored a bright maroon, with interesting cactus statue pieces at the windows. its just beautiful inside. the food is awesome, made from scratch, tacos, burritos, tostadas etc. its not that nasty pre-packaged crap at taco bell. my favorite is the regulata potato burrito, with the fresh corn salsa, and a side of crunchy, tortilla chips, and hand-made quacomole. everyone has gotta try this place! escape from the chains, and think outside the franchise!

The bad review
The other guy that reviewed Taco Tontos must have voted for Bush. This place has great food, servered fresh (not premade), which does take a little extra time. The employees are colorful and always have some off beat music playing. Obviously this guy's mind is narrow enough to see through a key hole with both eyes. Try this sober or high/drunk, if your not a big stick in the mud. My favorite is the El Biggo chicken minus lettice add Guacamole. Go smoke a joint buddy and relax...lol

Great, if you are a stoned hippy
If you hate corporate America, this is for you. The food is questionable, bland and not recommended. The owner will never have to worry about anyone wanting to franchise this place. The service is slow, disorganized and great, if you like chicks with hairy armpits (yes it showed) and enough piercings to make her face rattle whenever she moved. This restaurant must make a bundle when the bars close and everyone is too drunk/stoned to realize how bad the food tastes.
