Great Taste at Taste Buds
Wonderful environment, great food!
I was there for lunch and it was reasonably priced, and the service was quick and pleasant. The space is very inviting and added to the pleasure of our meal.
I agree to disagree with Larry. I had a wonderful experience. I'm going back and I would recommend it to anyone.

Tasty Taste Buds
Potato crusted Tilepia, New Potatos, Green Beans, and a Pineapple/Bannana Juice, $10.50. It was served cafeteria style. Nice atmosphere, clean and friendly. I've eaten there many times before, and never had a bad meal, in fact they are VERY TASTY!

Great Lunch Spot
I have been to TasteBuds a few times, and will have to say that it is a great lunch spot. Good, healthy food, at a good price. Home cooked combinations like mashed potatoes and meatloaf, or lemon pepper chicken with green beans, are hearty lunch specials that will fill anyone's stomach. The food is cooked fresh daily, with great care. Service is always friendly and helpful.
Disregard "larry's" review. He was only there once showed up late and was rude.

get there early
I've been to TasteBuds three times and even though the people I've gone with raved about it, I found it to be a below average experience. The sandwiches are only fresh if you get them before noon - otherwise they just sit in the display case. The freak at the cash register has the personality of the brick walls on the building exterior. The restaurant is on the 2nd level and is very difficult to manuever into if your elderly or handicapped (or in my case the first visit, on crutches). Don't hang around close to the 2 o'clock closing time or the freak will slam things around you and make you feel like your intruding. Sure the surroundings were welcoming with the bright colors, but then what?????
all in all, a very average food experience.

Once you find its newest location, in a large brick warehouse between Superior and St. Clair, you'll discover this version of Tastebuds is much like the original, only bigger - and, in many ways, better. Owners Bridget McGinty and Paul Michael have hit on an appealing semi-cafeteria concept that brings an East Village vibe to Cleveland. The food is vibrant, fresh, uncomplicated and - in one appreciatively un-New York way - a great value. An occasional soup of the day, a soul-warming vegetarian chili, blends tomatoes, kidney beans and soy crumbles, and the grilled portabella mushroom sandwich is packed with luxurious flavors, including balsamic reduction and roasted garlic. A side salad and a full pound of fresh fruit salad, both plenty to share, are flawlessly crisp, ripe and tasty.
