Burger & Beer $5
Simply - you cannot go wrong with a $5 Burger & Beer. And TavCo's burger's are well worth $10! On Monday nights - this helps make for the perfect 'crap economy night out'. $5 movie at Cedar-Lee Theatre (incl. a popcorn too) and a $5 burger & beer right up the street.
They have a decent selection of draught beer too. And the burger comes with fries.
The rest of their food is great. Good service, etc. There is a reason why TavCo has been a Cleveland Heights landmark for 20 years.

So, so
This place is just OK as far as service and quality of food. Sometimes they have good appetizer specials (spinach artichoke dip). Other good things are burgers and the fish basket. If your looking for good food on Lee Rd I recommend Brennan's. This is a good place to go have a drink/appetizer at the bar and watch a game on their new flat screen TV's.

Best Fish Fry in town!
I go there (often) for lunch.
Monday's are great for Burgers and Beer. They have a special I think it was like 5 bucks. But don't go without trying the Fish Fry. It's the BEST. It's nice and big, crispy and not oily at all. Great Fish & Chips.

Great catch!
I ordered the broiled scrod (9.95) my husband had the poor man's sirloin (14.95) The scrod was moist and seasoned lightly and came with asparagus. I also had the chicken vegetable barley soup with my meal. It was delicious. The sirloin was done to perfection and absolutely divine. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. Loved the place -- not your smokey, beer-smelly type bar/restaurant. Very charming.

This is a great neighborhood spot. Above average.
I almost skipped going based on a very bad (and extremely vague) review by Jason B that was posted here.
Decided to take a chance and try it out. Our group tried the Fish Fry (great!), mussels (exceptional), French Onion soup (above average), and Ribs (very good).
Service was good. Not great, but not bad.
Great music there sometimes too!
