June 03, 2005        A whole lot of good food is created in the tiny space that is Teahouse Noodles on East Sixth Street in downtown Cleveland. The 20 or so seats fill up fast, but a steady stream of lunchtime customers files in to grab a quick and healthy meal to go. It's easy to feel virtuous while partaking in such good-for-you fare as bowls of flat-rice noodles or whole-grain California brown rice, and sesame ginger noodle salad (wheat noodles with spicy sesame soy vinaigrette). Savory sauces include the mild and creamy peanut and the Indonesian curry (the latter a coconut-based medium-hot sauce with mango). Then there are the specials - like the Freakin' Rican beans and rice - in addition to such everyday favorites as miso-mushroom soup, steamed buns and fresh-squeezed juices. Review By:
