Great house-made beer and pulled-pork...
This place is simply fantastic - fairly varied menu, but the pulled pork (nachos or burrito?) and gumbo steal the show. 4-6 house beers on tap accompany about 20 more tapped microbrews - all served in the correct glass according to style. Service is best if you sit at the bar, as there is almost always a wait for a table (with good reason). Any slight lag in service is FAR outweighed by quality of food and drink.

Updated menu
The Brew Kettle recently updated their menu and it is a nice improvement. They still have their regular favorite pub food, bbq, burgers, etc. However, now they offer more salads, soups, and healthier alternatives as well. The menu is still very reasonably priced - the 4 $ rating on this site is just wrong and very misleading. Most entrees are under $10, and they have sandwiches, salads and soups and other items in the $5 - $7 range. It is all non-smoking, and they do set up a small patio in the rear of the building during the warm summer months.

this place isnt worth the hype it is getting
the food is bland at best, the beer is cold and tasty, the service wanes as night goes on, and the barmaid is a gestapo broad who gets exccited over the least topic, any barmaid who censors a customer isnt worth having, especially when she arbitrarily ejects customers for her lame reason, and demands no return, when asked for manager, there are none to be had, wow what a way to run a place when the cats away eh?
mad catus ...inn-between.. and park tavern offer tastier food better prices, micro brewing is a fad and will fade, brew kettles quality of food already shows signs of "closed" on the door!!!

Excellent Beer!
This is great casual restaurant. The beer selection is phenomenal, and the food is good. While the price for beer is higher than your standard bud lite draft, the food prices are very reasonable. Good for families. Get there early! Reservations only for parties of 6 or more, and only two booths accomodate a highchair.

Beer and lots of it!
Great, great beer selection and you've got to love a place that lets you have the chance to make your own beer. The atmosphere is clean with lots of light wood and the entire establishment is non-smoking. Very limited menu leaning heavily toward BBQ and sausage dishes.
