A great disapointment
My daughter and I stopped in for dinner before a movie and we each ordered 10 oz sirloin steaks. It was the worst steak we've ever had. We both ordered medium rare. It was weird, the steak actually looked great. My daughter could only eat 3 bites because she was chewing each bite so long her jaws hurt. I did finish mine but didn't enjoy it at all. It had no flavor and the consistency of beef jerky. The waitress even noticed that we were'nt enjoying our meal and offered free desserts which we passed on. It was our first and last visit to Blake's at Crocker Park.

Not what I expected
I moved to the Area about 1 yr, ago and stayed in a hotel in Crocker Park.I seen this really nice resturant with cloth tables and outside dining, to my suprise I could have gotten better fish at Long John Silvers. The Grouper was not cooked all the way thru, which in return made me sick the whole weekend. I will never return nor will i recommend it to anyone.

WORST SEAFOOD RESTAURANT EVER
I TOOK MY GIRLFRIEND THERE FOR DINNER AND THE SERVICE AND FOOD WAS BAD. THE FOOD WAS COLD AND NOT COOK ALL THE WAY. LONG JOHN SILVERS HAS BETTER SEAFOOD THAN THAT PLACE I MADE SURE TO TELL MANAGER WE WOULD NEVER COME BACK.

Sorry We Went !
I took my son and his fiance to Saturday dinner. We chose Blake's due to the reputation. We were seated promptly (reservation) and ordered the calamari appetizer as we chose entrees and wine. It turns out that the calamari was the high point of the experience.
After some delay, the waitree informed us that the establishment was out of the wine we selected. OK; we chose another wine.
A manager appeared and appologized that the wine was out of stock. We said, "OK. we chose another." He went on to explain that the SECOND choice was also out of stock. "So sorry." We ordered a third selection, after determining that THAT wine was, indeed, available.
We ordered roast chicken, filet and shrimp and prime rib, all with salads and garlic mashed potatos. The salads were simply bad. They lacked spark and made up for it with loads of lousy dressing.
Turns out that the mashed potatos were the best thing on the plates. The filet was unrecognizable as a filet of tenderloin; the prime rib as so-so. Chicken was OK, but just chicken. For the prices, there should have been more food of better quality.
Management gave us a dessert plate to make amends, but I go to restaurants for quality food and service, not for appeasement.
I will never go to Blake's again.

Steve was great!
We were just traveling through late at night, tired and found a room at the Red Roof Inn where Amber told us Blake's Seafood had good eats and gave us a map to get there. When we got there the place was lively and we were seated quickly with smiles in the bar area so we could watch the game. Steve walked us through the specials, was very accomadating as we were sharing a plate - even put it on two separate plates for us. The food and service was most excellent and we'll be back. Thank you for the warm smiles from two weary travelers. Paul & Mary

What a Bar Menu
I work near Crocker Park, and have discovered Blake's $1.95 bar menu and happy hour drinks every weekday. Me and several coworkers ate and drank ourselves silly for about $25 total! We had a beer called Caribe or something, bartender suggested it. Great with a lime, like corona.
Big patio crowd, so we sat inside at hi-tops. Lots of fun, and crazy good value.

Great Happy hour!!!! but thats it
I ate at the Blakes in chagrin falls -twice-, so I know not to waste my money paying full price here, so I dont. But their 1.95 bar menu is pretty darn good. Best cheesburgers, and to people watch in the summer, this place is great for that. Now Hyde park, next door, I just had lunch there 2 days ago. Well, the ceaser salad is better at Brio/Bravo, (they have freshly ground pepper, Hyde park has that pepper shake with the bulk pepper in it that has zero flavor). The salad contained both green and -yellow- romaine. My scallops and shrimp were good, but it needed more flavor in the sause. And the side of mushrooms, Blah, no garlic no butter no salt, just mushrooms sauteed in oil. period. Zero flavor. My husbands steak was very good, and the lobster bisque although a bit on the salty side , we did enjoy.I honestly dont know how Hospitality Group stays in business. Their just mediocre.

$HIT & CHIPS!
I do not get it? Blakes goes from one of the best fish & chips I've had to the WORSE in like a few months. They got CHEAP and let their fry's oil go way too long and the fish appeared so shiny that if one was a smoker it would have been dangerous to eat.
AMAZING BEST TO WORSE in a few months...
BLAKES IS THE WORST PLACE OF THE DAY WINNER! THE OWNER/STAFF DID NOT GIVE A _____ BTW...

Wonderful Birthday Lunch
I can't believe the people that don't like this place. I went for my daughter's birthday and the service couldn't have been any better and the food was wonderful. The waitress was very accomodating and the food served promptly. They made sure there was a special dessert to honor the occasion. I will be going back soon!

So average, it makes me cry.
I went to Blake's expecting something pretty decent. It's a chain, but one of those quasi-"upscale" chains (if that's not an oxymoron), kind of like "Brio" in a sense. However, it was so average, I can't even express it. Good service, nice waitstaff. But the food definitely isn't worth the price. I could get food like this at TGI Fridays (which is pretty much was the inside looks like).

We'll never go back
Ths was our third visit to Blakes. The first was ok- just ok. The food was ok, the prices a bit high for the quality. The second time we sat at the bar, had some drinks, ordered the calamari-all was fine. At that visit the bartender encouraged us to come back for the happy hour on a friday. We arrived Friday at about 9pm. The music was entertaining. We sat for almost 15 min. with no service, got our own drinks at the bar. After another 30 min. with no server acknowledging our presence we cashed out and left. I'd say go to Claddaugh- much more fun, better service, great bartenders, and good food.

Best Happy Hour
My daughter, who is not a seafood fan, ate their seared Ahi Tuna on a bed of greens with a special dressing, mussels in garlic tomato sauce, lobster fritters and also tried their spinach dip. She enjoyed each of these for $1.95. A manager checked our table twice. Food was delicious and had a great presentation. We went at 9 pm and then saw a movie next door. This will be on our repeat list.

Sensational Seafood
Being a native Eastsider, my wife and I have frequented the original Blake's and Hyde Park for years. We made the treck out to Crocker Park and were very happy we did. There isn't the same view as Chagrin with the waterfall, but the seafood and service was outstanding. Our server (I think his name was Brian) was very friendly and knowledgable. My wife loved her papaya crusted seabass and the huge ribeye steak I order was a perfect medium rare. All in all, it was a great experience and we'll be back.

A Bit of Florida in Cleveland
I recently dined at Blakes in Crocker and had whzat was probably the best dining experience ever!!!It started with a Kumomoto Oyster, by far the best at 1.95 each, then a Macadamia Nut Crusted Grouper, UNBELIEVABLE!!!!Good Service and nice decor for a bill around $100 for 2

bad bass
I love sea bass!!! But not here. Water logged and tasteless. What a huge disappointment. Also casual is fine. Flip-flops and way underdressed people don't fit on a Friday night. The waitress didn't go over the specials with us but did with the next table. oops!

barfed
I went to Blake's last night at Crocker Park. A half hour after getting home I started vomiting. I'd stay away from the crab cakes. I believe our server had been trained by the Adam's Family - that much personality. The table wasn't very clean either.

"Hooked" on a loser
I found the salmon salad to be the most unimaginative dish that I have ever experienced.
A blacken piece of salmon, small but not unpleasant tasting, on a medium size bed of romaine lettuce period. That's a salad? No onions, tomatoes, olives,or any other things that make salads tasty. Just PLAIN LETTUCE. Price $11.95
Service was adequate and atmosphere pleasant. I have had my first and last experience with Blake's.
