Great View, Great Food, Great Value
We have been there numerous times and haven't been disappointed. The Fish and Chips dinner is outstanding, and the Steak Boxty is excellent. The views from the patio overlooking the lake are very nice also. There are two parking lots at the restaurant also. And as always, there is Guiness, Black and Tan, and a full service bar. Don't forget the soad bread either ........

Mixed Results
I was brought here for my birthday dinner and the night was a very up and down experience. We had called for reservations and they didnt seat us outside like we had asked, but after pointing out the mistake they found room outside (even though they were busy). The food though was not flavorful at all. It might be traditional Irish food ( i dont have much experience) but it was bland none the less and noone finished their food, simply because eating it would have been too laborious for the mediocre food being consumed.

I'll be back!
We ate her on a Saturday night on our way to a game at Jacob's Field. the location is great, just a few minutes from the field (by car), and 2 private parking lots (free!).
It was a gorgeous summer night, and we got the last 2-top on the patio, which probably seats at least 60 people. The view of Lake Erie is fine, in spite of the shoreway being nearby.
I had the ceasar chicken salad, well presented and plenty big. Service was prompt and professional, even though it was very busy on the patio. I saw many other items on the menu I'd like to try on upcoming visits.
As we left, the dining room was filling up - the crowd looked mainly middle-age, prehaps this changes later in the evening, but pretty mellow when we were there.
The bar does not dominate, it's off to one side of the dining room.
I'll be back, because of the food, service, and great parking - and so close to downtown activities. I also love that this is not a chain restaurant, yet another reason to support this place.

Bad food and bad chairs
I've eat at the place a few dozen time over the past few years. The food is so so, but the tables and chairs are painfull... The service is fine but food in general sucks.... Example, I order a fish sandwich that was soacked in water the bread was like that which one would toss to a fish pond, old, damp and gross... Twice I got so grossed out that I turned in what I eat a lot my appite --le bummer...
So if you're a Irish pin head who'll support anything that's Irish, you might go for this place... I;m doing with it...

A Little Bit of Ireland along Lake Erie
Have eaten here 4 or 5 times when visiting Cleveland and the food is consistently good. More importantly - the cuisine is authentic to Ireland - not a poor substitute. My favorite is the steak boxty - a large and hearty mixture of cheeses, cream, potatoes, onion, and steak (large enough for 2 or to take home extra - the price is around $12). Also excellent are: the salmon boxty, the fish and chips, and the soda bread that accompanies each of the meals. There are also many other lighter menu choices, as well as a very nice selection of imported beers. In short, this place has great ethnic comfort food and a pleasant waitstaff. The best part, however, has to be the pure joy of sitting at a cozy table inside with a view of the lake, the snow swirling around outside, while listening to some great Irish music and having a shandy or a pint of black and tan. Now that's the kind of experience one does not often get at a local restaurant!

friendly service, good food and outdoor patio!
What more can I say? The corned beef boxty's are amazing! Also try the lobster perogies with chardonney cream sauce as well as the fish and chips. You can't beat the patio in the summer especially if there is a band outside too.
