RIP OFF!!!!!
I live right around the corner from the Islander so it WAS convenient to go. They fraudulently charge your credit card. This has happened the last 3 occasions I have been there...We had 5 beers and 3 shots and the charge was $90.50…. To top it off I just realized they are now attempting to charge me an additional $55.20 per my bank account. I AM BEYOND PISSED.

Careful with opening a tab!
Just visited the Islander over the weekend and found out a very troubling situation...Make sure if you are going to be using your credit card for a bar tab or food that you intend on spending $30 or higher. For whatever reason they charge a $30 fee for everyone using a card, ridiculous. They have a VDJ on Saturdays (not sure on Fridays)and the music isnt that great (that and his video is not in sync with the music...) The food is ok (standard bar food) and the women arent bad, but not great... the bartenders are hit or miss.. a couple were very polite and smiled while serving... others would listen to your order, ask for a name and just drop the drink (is a youre welcome that hard to muster when someone says thank you?)
All in all its OK, but ill go to Babes Sports Bar over Islander should i have the choice...

Sorry to burst your bubble
I hate to be the voice of reason, but The Islander kind of sucks! It's a lame neighborhood bar, with a clientele slightly above white-trash. I only went there a couple of times because I know some of the bartenders, but I won't be back. The food was tasteless garbage, the service wasn't great(and the bartenders are friends of mine), and the drink specials aren't all that special. For everyone raving about the hot chicks, you should see an eye doctor. The few women in there were high-maintanence and low class. The only hot women are the bartenders, and any sane guy knows the likelyhood of hooking up with the bartender isn't real great. Anyway they're all married or engaged anyway, except for the one dating the professional fighter. If you've been there and like great for you, but I would not recommend this place to anyone. P.S. I personally couldn't stand the music, but that's just a personal preference.

Made me feel like garbage
I am an Indian. At the Islander Bar Grill they refused to even take my order while they were serving tables around me most of which were occupied half an hour after I arrived. I sat there for an hour waiting to give my order and then left. It was the worst feeling in the world.
I appalled at this sort of treatment at this day and age. Its sad. I'm rating everything poor because I was never given the chance to experience anything except the atmosphere.

Great place to get food and drinks
I enjoy going to the Islander...It has great service, great food and great priced drinks and great bartenders. I love the Dj's they have there. They have lunch specials that are great on the go...I heard they are starting to do breakfast on the weekends...Now I have a place I can go and get great food after the night out. I plan on going there more often for time with friends and maybe take the kids there during breakfast.

My Eyes Were Burning
Have been to The Islander several times. Lots of women! Loved it! Only downside was the male bartender. Good bartnder but prefer women behind the bar. So many women my eyes were burning!! Great singles spot.

Awesome Bar
Islander is a great place to hang out with friends or meet up with friends. They have DJs on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The bartenders are great!! Love them all. They do an awesome job and keep with the flow of customers. I really like coming to this bar. The DJs are great. They don't have much of a dance floor but you can still dance away. The food is great too. The drinks are great price. Its a very nice atmosphere to hang out on a Friday or Saturday night. So, if your looking for some fun with friends and want to dance and not pay outragious prices for drinks come to the Islander in Middleburg Heights. You will have a great time. Trust me on this. Try it out sometime!!

Great Music and cheap drinks!
Check this place out on saturday night! It a small place that draws a big crowd. Great music and cheap drinks!

Hey Mr. DJ! Play a song for me!
The Islander Bar serves such awesome tasting food at an inexpensive price. I get the Bahaman Steak Salad that has such tender strips of steak on a garden salad that is huge. I thnk it was $7.99 They have the same salad with grilled chicken. They have a steak dinner called the "captain", you won't believe all the food you get for the $9.99 We've had Islander burgers and fries, etc. IT'S ALL GOOD!!!! This is one of the bar and grills I would recommend. They have a DJ and small dance floor, but most white boys can't dance anyway, tee hee! That's okay they are there to pick up the cuties that come in. There are a lot of cuties guys! They play a wide range of music but the only thing is they do not want to deviate from the song list and play requests. You got to be flexible Mr. DJ of the week. Anyway it's a fun place and you should experience The Islander Bar & Grill. oxoxox
