Really good
I love a good Gyro and Pita Palace is top of my list. The best thing is it's not messy and greasy like they can be at a fair. The meat is good and lean and hot. The vegetable toppings are fresh, lettuce is never wilted. The cucumber sauce is thick with shredded cucumbers. Yummy! At lunchtime, any day of the week, you can get a 8 inch gyro (or any wrap) for $4.49. A platter which included rice and bread is $7- ish. The owner has come to recognize me even though I have been there only a handful of times and now knows that I prefer my dressing on the side (they do give a lot of dressing when ordered this way so I don't blame them for an additional charge for 2 containers). They always seem helpful and willing to please even helping me pick out something my young children would eat and offering tasting of items I had not tried before.
One complaint is I don't prefer their Greek salad mostly because it did not contain the marinated Greek olives but regular canned black olives. Lots of feta and tomatoes though so overall it wasn't a loss.

Don't get extra sauce with my gyro!!!
While most food is good, the chicken gyro is dry. I asked for sauce on the side- well 2 sauces on the side since i was having it for lunch the next day and the owner notified me immediately that that was ALOT of sauce and it WOULD BE EXTRA. And as one not to care (totally)about money replied "that's fine". I have come here often for take out, and the owner always seems out to make an extra buck. I will not be coming back here for a while since a new Mediteranean grocery sandwich shop opened on Pearl Rd in Middleburg with much more reasonable prices has come near. If you catch a teen working at the Pita you may not get charged like I did.

Authentic Glory
The Mediterranean wraps and platters are the real authentic food one would expect. The service is friendly and informative. The cleanliness is supurb. The food is fresh, appetizing and tasty. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. An excellent place to enjoy that authentic homemade Mediterranean craving.
