Unusual cocktails
Outstanding service, exquisit food, unusual and taste cocktails. All was excellent. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her "safire" cocktail made from thyme and another made from basil. Wow! We had halibut, crab cakes, tomato bisque topped with gorganzola cheese, and scallops. All were done to perfection. Our waiting was knowledgable and always willing to make suggestions. Very clean restrooms. We would go back in a heart beat.

Food is inconsistant
On my first visit, I ordered their signature fish with lobster mashed potatoes, Oh my god, I almost licked the plate. So on my next visit, I ordered the same thing. Well, I was searching for the lobster pieces, couldnt find any. It was obvious, the kitchen staff was not the same. I ran into a friend who experienced the same problem as us. Needless to say, I have not returned. But, if I had only one choice, between the Metropolitan across the street, and Blue Point , I would choose Blue Point.

At the crossroads of Cleveland's historic and trendy warehouse district lies Blue Point Grille, an upscale - but hardly uptight - restaurant for true seafood lovers. Blue Point's interior has a nautical theme throughout; from the stately main dining room to the rustically elegant bar area, patrons feel as if they are dining on the high seas. The wine list is extensive, and the martini menu is creative and impressive: Try the white cosmopolitan or the Kidd (named for the Blue Point bartender who created the drink). For an appetizer, the fresh lump blue crab cake (with no filler), served with homemade honey mustard and slaw, won't disappoint. And even in this era of low-carb diets, it's hard to resist the lobster Bolognese, a stick-to-your-ribs penne pasta entree mixed with small pieces of fresh Maine lobster in a creamy sauce. Desserts are typical - crÅme br?lee, tiramisu, bread pudding and cobbler - but serve as a reliable finish.
