Wonderful Dining Experience
We dine at Vaccaro's at least once a month and have always had a wonderful dining experience! The food is fresh and creative. The setting is comfortable and the dinner has always been pleasing. We have been so impressed with our visits that my fiance proposed to me there at one of the window tables. I would suggest that you stop and see for yourself!

Impressed...We're going back!
My wife and I experienced Vaccaro's due to a recommendation by a friend that was a host at the restaurant. Knowing that it was an up-scale restaurant, and only in our early 20's, we truly did not know what to expect from the staff and the overall atomosphere. However, we were surprised by the friendliness and attentive staff that greeted and served us. The food was wonderful! We had such an amazing time that we are extremely excited to go back. Kudos to Vaccaro's Trattoria for making our FIRST up-scale restaurant such a positive experience!

Too Much Success?
We dined at Vaccaro's on a busy recent Saturday night and the overall experience was disappointing on several levels. The wait for our entrees to arrive was very long and the service was adequate but unenthusiastic. The food was mediocre with poor value for the money. We may try again on a week night when the operation isn't so stressed to cope.

THE place for upscale Italian food
This is a cozy, small and hidden place on Ghent Road where food is outstanding and creative. Service is top-notch and most professional. The atmosphere reminds one of a typical small ristorante in Italy.
It may be difficult to get a table at Vaccaros, but there is a good reason: there are many folks like us that enjoy getting spoiled and pampered with outstanding cuisine.
We like to stop at that place on the way home after cultural events in Akron. We are so blessed to have this little jewel. Don’t try to stop by without reservations!

Simply Wonderful
Vaccaro's is our new favorite place. The food has been delightful every time we've gone. As we ususally go around 9:00 pm, we split a meal - generally the steak feature. We have not been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and professional. I feel like I'm on vacation every time we go there - it's casual yet romantic. A nice touch is the half bottles of wine, which many restaurants have yet to offer.

There's no reason for Clevelanders or Cantonites to miss out on Vaccaro's; the restaurant is barely a minute off I-77. This tranquil eatery does a brisk business, offering high-quality food and friendly, sophisticated service. Starters range from bruschetta to stuffed hot banana peppers and mussels with fire-roasted tomatoes, vermouth broth and fresh herbs. A variety of salads and pizzas are available, and Vaccaro's also offers a create-your-own pasta option. Entrees include several seafood options as well as veal, lamb and chicken. Among Vaccaro's traditional favorites are lasagne al carne -?seasoned beef, pork and veal layered with five cheeses and pasta - Trattoria lasagna, veal and truffle ravioli, and a grilled Angus New York strip.

Best Kept Secret in the Akron area!
Vaccaros on Ghent has been a long time favorite of ours. Owner Raphael Vaccaro goes out of his way to make every guest feel like family. The small trendy bar is the perfect setting for a before dinner cocktail and the Exec Chef Pete Shellenbach is always a perfectionist. The Wine list is top notch and Raph is always on hand to guide you through the Italian imports. If you are looking for excellent food, relaxed elegance and spectacular wine this is your choice (they even carry Viognier by the glass!). Be sure to make reservations, even if the same day, because the dining room is intimate and Vaccaros is fast becoming VERY popular. Best entrees include Pete's scallop special or flat iron steak.
