Diner atmosphere with wonderful food
I keep going back to West Side Market Cafe for breakfast and lunch because it's friendly, casual, and has fresh, creative, delicious food! For breakfast I can never decide between the Eggs Oscar (poached eggs on English muffin halves with avocado, tomato, and hollandaise) or their fluffy buttermilk pancakes. Honestly, have anything with their great coffee and a fresh-squeezed orange juice. For lunch my faves are the Fresh Walleye Sandwich, Tuna Melt, and any of the salads. Food and service are consistently excellent. The Cafe also serves wine and beer, including several drafts. I look forward to attending one of their wine tasting dinners in the future. Open every day.

Great food great atmosphere
This is the kind of place where you do feel like everyone knows your name. The first time I was there it felt like home. The food is fantastic, although once I had unripe avacados and the bloody marys leave a lot to be desired, but overall the food is great, the staff is friendly and the prices are right.

So good!
ALthough the atmosphere isn't the most up to date, the food and service are out of this world. It is always fast, and the fish is so fresh. I have never had anything but a great experience with the owners or the wait staff.

New Chef-Amazing food!
I have been dining at Westside Market Cafe since they opened. And latetly I discovered that the quality of the food had by far improved. I asked the owner if some changes had been made to their menu, and he informed me that there is a new chef! I knew it because the food has really improved. One of the Chefs new appetetizers is a lamb quesidilla which is out of this world. For my main course I enjoyed a pork chop special that literally melted in my mouth which was paired with risotto. Honestly, the risotto could possibly be some of the best I've had. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. I sat at the bar so that I could watch the Indians game and was waited on by the bartender who was very attentive and very funny! Not only is the Market a great place to shop, the Cafe is finally a great place to dine! Hats off to the new Chef!!!

The Good, the Bad, the Smelly
The Good:
The Cafe has some very good food and the prices are very low for what you get. The Cooks do a good job at make new items/specials.
The Bad: well that really falls in to the smelly. Some of people (customers) who hit the place really smell like a dead dog... The owner should place a sign that if you smell like a dog well ask you to leave...
So good food, at times Body oder that will make you barf!
So to theh Cafe, you do a great job, just kick out the smelly pigs who stink up the place...

Great Breakfasts w/ Local Color
This is a great place for a hearty inexpensive breakfast. Food is not fancy, but good, and service is very attentive. All the standard breakfast dishes are here. I think it's a bit peculiar that they pair potatoes with pancakes, but who cares. The ambience is all-Cleveland with a unique assortment of colorful customers that adds to the dining experience. Plus I could swear Drew Carey's Mimi is waiting tables here; you be the judge.
