The Food is as good as the Beer
Don't let the name fool you. This place has a great menu in the moderately priced arena. The dishes are well thought out and served with wonderful presentation. One of the few places that will let you enjoy a cigar after dinner. (Other diners, don't worry, the cigar bar is at the other end of the building.) Frequent entertainment is catchy and sophisticated. The Lost Nation Pale Ale is superb!

Offering much more than just the barley and hops its name implies, The Willoughby Brewing Co. may surprise some first-time patrons with its skillfully prepared culinary delights and convert them into brewpub regulars. The pints here, including refreshing Lost Nation pale ale and smooth Last Stop stout, seem content to relinquish the spotlight to the food. Buffalo chicken egg rolls, filled with zucchini, pepperoni and cheese, arrive nestled in a bed of greens and served with a spicy bleu-cheese Louisiana hot sauce. If soup is the starter of choice, don't pass up a piping-hot cup of the creamy potato and Wisconsin cheddar ale, topped with homemade croutons. Main course offerings span steaks, chops, seafood and pastas, and the menu helpfully suggests one of the Willoughby Brewing Co.'s award-winning beers as accompaniment. The shrimp and scallop linguini, which works well with the recommended Willoughby wheat ale, features grilled tiger shrimp and tender scallops in a light broth crafted with pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, asparagus and applewood-smoked bacon.
