que pena... What a shame..
So much potential and not good. Not sure what happened from the other posts here and now but this place is hurting. Food is OK. As well being from NY and PuertoRican - was not expecting perfection but was expecting much more than what I got.
I know NY PR'can population is much higher so I understand that however this was truly disapointing. The food has noticeably sat. When you look at a dish with sauce and the skin is forming.. UH...

Baaad!
I lived in NYC for a long time and ate PR food there regularly.
This place is dirty, the food greasy (unpalatable), the service lousy, and the prices are very high for what you get.
I've tried it three times over the last couple years and each time was just as bad.
Go ahead, but don't expect anything but a stomach ache.

Comida de la unica Isla que hay
I ate here and the food was amazing, trully authentic... I've been out here working for a few weeks now, practically eating out everyday... and after a quick little google search, I found El Taino, of which i automatically knew should have been good just by the name alone...
I ate arroz con gandulez con pollo guisado y por supuesto, mofongo... The mofongo was cooked right in front of me by a woman who looked like a puerto rican abuelita, lol, I was so excited to have finally found a spot like that in Cleveland...
And of course it wouldn't have been the same without a big restaurant conversation about bachata, salsa y reggeton, haha...
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants some good authentic food...
