It's no surprise that a cheery crowd dines at Bon Appetito every evening; the Italian restaurant is quite cozy, and the decorated, raised ceilings keep noise level at a comfortable volume. It's difficult to choose a dish from such a diverse menu, but we recommend the crab-stuffed artichoke hearts. Also excellent is the salmon pescatora, a seared filet that sits on a polenta triangle with shiitake mushrooms and hearts of palm in a wine sauce, and the fettucini ê la forestiÅre, a flavorful pasta with wild mushrooms, chicken, rosemary and garlic. The restaurant holds true to generous Italian-style portions, offering salad, bread and side vegetables with every meal. Try to save room for the dessert cart, which has 15 choices - including mainstays like tiramisu, spumoni and cassata cake.

We stumbled into this place. We got off 422 at 306 looking for a place to grab something quick for dinner on our way to Burton. I'm glad we picked this place. We'll be back for more.
The atmosphere was elegant but simple, classy and intimate but not overstated. The tables were covered with clean white linen, polished silverware, and sparkling stemware but the customers appeared comfortable in suits or jeans. The service was attentive and excellent.
Truthfully, we only had appetizers and our daughter had spaghetti with meatball (the single meatball was HUGE). Both appetizers were excellent. The Seafood Cakes (two for $8.95) were loaded with meat and excellently seasoned. The Salmon Wrapped Bocconcini (four on a bed of fresh greens with diced purple onions and capers for $8.95) was a delight. It came with two pieces of bread that was toasted over a wood fire, a very nice and subtle flavor addition. Both appetizers were elegantly presented.
My daughter's pasta, with the house marinara, was to die for. The marinara had chopped carrots in it, something I had never experienced, but they fit right in and I stole all of them (the ONLY vegetable she eats is pasta sauce, but she wasn't having any of the carrots in it). The meatball was billiard ball sized, tender, and superbly seasoned. The portion size of the pasta was extremely generous.
The menu is impressive and everything appears unique, not your generic "Italian restaurant" fare. Appetizers were $6-9, $4 for soup. Salads were $5-15. The pizzas were unique and ranged from $8-13. Entrees were $14-24. There appears to be a large selection of appropriate wines and there is a full bar. The prices, while not moderate, did not seem excessive for the quality and uniqueness of the food and service.
I look forward to returning when I have more time and a greater budget and appetite. I literally would want to try every single item on the menu. I was that impressed.
