I have been to Vue 4 times. The service has always been wonderful. They have a great martini bar and wine list. My husband usually has the wedge salad with pancetta and I tried a blue cheese pear salad that was absolutely wonderful. The sea scallops are D'lish as is the filet mignon. I have also had the lamb and the salmon. Every dish I have tried has been dlish! It is a little pricey but definately worth it. The atmosphere is romantic, they have a nice bar and lounge area and the desserts are also yummy. This is our fave restaurant

I went to the Vue with my girlfriend on July 1st of 2007. First and foremost, the directions the Vue has posted on their website to their restaurant is wrong. I ended up in Streetsboro. We arrived 20 minutes late. We were seated by a kind hostes which brought us water. 10 minutes passed before our server came, for a Monday night, I dont know what took her so long, I counted the four other people she was waiting on and wanted a new server. She came arrived with bread and told us the specials. The waitress was nice, but wasnt all there. My girlfriend and I ordered salads next. The total of our salads came to $17.00 and were smaller than the side dishes. After viewing the menu I realized that the head chef uses Truffle Oil in everything. We each had fish. I had North American Red Fish, which had good flavor. The things they put on the plate applied more to the eye appeal rather than the taste buds. My girlfriend had the citrus and vanilla infused halibut. Needless to say a piece of perch is bigger than the portion of halibut she received. With all the infusions in the halibut I didnt know it was halibut when I tried it. Overall nice people, slow service, good looking food with overpowering taste, and a chef that puts atleast 30 ingrediants in 1 dish.

Ate at Vue last night. Really nice inside and had a great table in the corner. Started with a nice glass of Rose Champagne at the bar prior to our move to the table...It was all down hill from there. The waiter graciously took my 1996' Gros Vosne Romanee Burgundy. He replaced our Bordeaux stems with some nice Burgundy stems and brought a decanter..Hmm I thought, this is going to be great..Well he proceeds to uncork it and just pour every drop in the decanter as if it was week old Zinfandel. Lucky there was little sediment and the wine was fine....Our water boy was very attentive and brought some San Pelligrino and several slices of bread he placed upon our bread plate with silver tongs. The bread was at least 72 hrs old. It was as dry and as tasteless as any I have ever had but I was really hungry and ate it anyway. Next came appetizers. My wife had a lovely eggplant tasting. 4 different eggplant balls all rolled in flour or Panko and fried than cut in half. Nice looking but tepid to cold in temperature and not all that flavorful. I had a beef carpaccio served on a large beautiful white platter. It came with a rather tasteless "truffled" whipped cheese spread. The capers tasted as if they were cured in salt and sugar and were a nice touch and there was a sweet balsamic glaze on the rim of the plate. It needed a good drizzle of olive oil but this was fair. The highlight of the night was a salad of sweet butternut squash and greens with hazelnuts. The squash was fantastic and this was a really inventive salad. For the main course I ordered the Tuna Tasting and Kari had the beef filet. My tuna came out on a huge 4 portion platter and was very impressive looking. It consisted of a nice piece of sesame encrusted Ahi served rare with a soy glaze and 2 fried won tons. In another section was a rather tasteless wrap of Daikon radish shredded vegetables and a very few, small pieces of raw tuna with a port glaze. The 3rd square was occupied but what was likely the worst piece of food I have ever been served in ANY restaurant in 42yrs. It was a spicy tuna and lobster infused sushi roll. I made the mistake of trying this 1st and as soon as it was in my mouth I new I had made a huge error and began to search in vain for someplace to spit it out. This thing must have been rolled a week ago. The rice had transformed itself from individual grains to a unified gooey mass of gelatinous gum which had fused to the once crisp nori wrapper on the outside. The only thing firm about it was some of the uncooked rice grains still left hard in the middle of the goo. If the tuna had any taste it was lost on the textural nightmare of the rice rolled around it. How could a chef with any idea of what is coming out of his kitchen allow this travesty to end up anywhere but the garbage? Leave the sushi to Morimotto and stick with Bistro food I would tell him. I tasted my wife's filet which was nicely done and served with some wonderful rich scallop potatoes but not worth the $38 it cost. We split a chocolate -peanut butter crunch which appeared to be some caramel and chocolate ganache pored over Kix cereal and chilled. Tasty in a pic- nic way but not the stuff that will keep great French pastry chef's up at night with worry. Tax and tip- $161.00 Ups- nice decor and plates and a great wine list. Downs- over priced food that ranged from inventive to a sushi chefs worst nightmare. Summery Not Recommended!

Great decor, great food and service. I went Thursday 11/16/2005 which along with Tuesday is Sushi night at Vue. We had Sushi at the bar ($9-$15) and dinner in the beautiful Dinig room. A perfect evening. The service, food and high-end decor make you feel like you are in Chicago or New York...not downtown Hudson!
