Love Sergio's SARAVA
Love the "Street Plate" appetizers, huge variety, and a great deal. Go during happy hour...
The dinners are delicious and the place is gourgeous and sexy. Nice mixed crowd of all ages and backgrounds. good review and pics here:

Trendy Place Makes Nice Addition to Area Dining
I made reservations at Sarava at the request of my client whom I was entertaining. Having never been there before, I had no idea what to expect except what I read on this website. Based on the previous review, my hopes were not very high. I arrived at Sarava with my co-workers and was pleased that there was valet parking given how busy the square can get. Upon entering, the hostess was pleasurable and we decided to wait for our client in the bar. The décor was very “European” and much to our liking. When our client arrived, we were seated at a good table by the window and away from the bar – they had asked for my preference when I made the reservation. We started off with a variety of appetizers, all of which were good. The main course was also to everyone’s liking. I had the seafood bouillabaisse which was nicely prepared and very tasty. The service was acceptable for us, but we did note that there seemed to be an abundance of “dropped items” from the tables near us. The slate floor under us exasperated the sound of every dropped fork or knife from the slightly small tables. Overall the experience was good and I would readily go there again to entertain clients or even for a personal night out.

Totally Overrated & Overpriced
My wife and I dined at Sergios/Sarava at Shaker Square on a beautiful Thursday evening in late June. We arrived to hear Brazilian type music being played by a 6 piece band outside of the restaurant. There was a decent crowd listening and dancing out front, and the outdoor patio was quite full. We entered and immediately were taken by the great ambience and decor. The host was prompt and courteous, and we were given a very good table with comfortable seats. Off to a good start, so we had very high hopes. We started with the homemade Sangria. It was absolutely horrible !! I had a White Wine Sangria, and my wife had the Red Sangria. Both were made with orange slices and cherries, and lots of sugar. The first sip was warm with tons of sugar and pieces of fruit and seeds that were sitting at the bottom of the glass. I figured we just needed to stir them and let them get cold. This did not help at all. They were very poorly made drinks. I don't like sending things back, I would rather just suffer, but this was undrinkable. My wife sent hers back and I sipped mine occasionally throughout the meal. We asked the server to recommend between a few items that we thought we would like. He was very uninterested, and totally impersonal, but suggested what were supposed to be 2 of the most popular dishes. My wife had the Xim Xim, and I had the Feijoada. The Xim Xim had small chopped pieces of shrimp, and dark meat chicken with tons of fat and even a few bones. It was served in almost a stew with some veggies, and the flavor was OK, but for $22 it really was a total joke. The Feijoada was edible, but I would not even classify it as good. I just don't understand the concept of charging $18.95 for beans and rice with a few chopped up pieces of pork and 2 very small pieces of sausage in a small bowl. It really was a total rip off. This seems to be the norm these days at the "trendy" restaurants that have taken over our culture. It is quite sad. Our overall experience was very bad, and I left feeling extremely unhappy and unsatisfied. We won't be going back.
