Went to dinner last Monday evening with a friend.
Loved the decor, friendly service and awesome food. Don't understand prior review complaints about price or or taste because it's a gourmet restaurant so I expected it to be a little more expensive but it's the best Thai I've had in Cleveland and I am from So Cal where there is extraordinary Thai food and this restaurant is right up there.

My husband and I went to dinner at Ly's thai restaurant in Beachwood on a friday evening at 7pm with three friends. The restaurant was not very busy as I do not think a lot of people know that it exists as its location is hidden behind an office building behind P.F Changs. We had two drinks at the bar a beer(Sam Adams Winter lager) and a cocktail (Three olives Grape vodka with soda) and our bill was $12.75.. I guess the beer was only $4 but the mixed drink was very overpriced!!!
As for the food, my dinner was great. I had the Red Curry chicken dish, a touch on the spicy side with great flavor. My husband had the Pad Thai- very dissappointing.. Not very flavorful. Lemongrss Pad Thai is definately better! We also had the Thai rolls as an appetizer and would not recommeded them. Each of our entrees were $13 which was fine. Our geust had the Green Curry chicken which I tasted and was not any spicier than the Red Curry chicken and less flavorful. The other guest has the Prik-Pao beef which was sweet and tangy but the beef was chewy. They like the Mongolian beef better next door at P.F Changs. The service was awful. Out server did not know anything about the wines, nor could really explain the sauces in dishes. Worst of all, she took two of our drink orders and two different times never asked the gentleman if they would like a drink. She was very nice but VERY inexperienced. Glasses of fine were $7-$9 a glass not bad but a very small selection of wines by the glass. Not to mention that the wine list was typed in the smallest font available.
So the food was okay but for the prices (mixed drinks and considering most entrees with seafood in them which were around $17-$19) the service definately needed to be kicked up a notch... If I ate there again it would be take-out only and my own drinks at home..
