Overpriced, Tasteless and Rolls the Size of Oyster Crackers!
WHAT A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Four of us went for a birthday celebration and it was so not worth it. For two people to eat and have a drink it was over $100.00. My boyfriend was looking forward to crablegs from the buffet as advertised on the internet. It was Saturday night and they didn't have any crablegs. Golden Corral's buffet is better than this place! The meat was lukewarm and had no flavor. My boyfriend wanted to know if the waiter could get some garlic butter to make the steak more palatable. He said he would check with the chef. The chef told him no, that he could not make garlic butter. Gee a little garlic salt and melted butter were out of his culinary skills area of expertise? The ribs and top sirloin were fatty. The leg of lamb tasted like liver. The rolls were the size of oyster crackers and tasted yeasty. It was described as an up-scale restaurant and I could of had more atmosphere at any local chain restaurant like Carraba's Grill. We had great laughs though which pulled us through the evening by making fun of all the food and the restaurant. We waited for servers to come to our table (not the service we expected). I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone including my dog. By the time they offered dessert, we justed wanted to get the heck out of there. Do not spend your hard-earned money on this sub-par dining experience. We wanted to try something new and it sucked. Go to the Hyde Park Grill in Cleveland instead and you won't be disappointed!

The WORST Custopmer Service that I have EVER experienced
I wanted to share the absolutely HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE treatment that I received earlier today at Brasa Grill. Perhaps the all time worst customer service that I have ever received at any business of any kind.
I drove about 30 miles into Cleveland to use my Groupon that I purchased for this restaurant. $40.00 in dining purchased for $20.00. Now let it be known that I have worked in the Daily Deal world since Groupon only had 12 cities active. After reviewing all of the “Fine Print”, I made a reservation for one through Open Table since the restaurant has no one answering the phone during the day. I sent an email through their web site letting the restaurant know that I would be dining with the use of my purchased Groupon. Again no one to answer the phone!
When I walked into the restaurant I was told by the host that he did not think that I could use my Groupon. I asked why and he said he would get the manager. A young lady came out and told me that I could not use the Groupon because I was “dining alone”. She said that there had to be another guest “paying for their meal” and they “couldn’t just honor the Groupon with no one else buying anything”! WHAT?!?!?!?!?! Then she blamed it on Groupon for not putting it in the deal?!?!?!
Nowhere on the Groupon, not in the description of the deal, nor in the “Fine Print”, did it state that was the how the deal was structured. I specifically asked this manager to show me on the Groupon where it said that or anything that even sorta’, kinda’ hinted at that. She said “it doesn’t say that”. So again I stated “then you need to honor this Groupon that I purchased and drove almost an hour to use”. It’s actually the law according to Ohio statute regarding couponing.
Now I have never been to this restaurant and was excited to try all of the steak that they are famous for. Perhaps I may have come back with a bunch of friends after a positive experience but they in stead chose to save $20.00 by sending me away. What this ignorant or poorly trained manager failed to realize is the fact that I own three different businesses and work in the Social Network world. Through Facebook alone I have access to over 50,000 people. Did she actually believe I’d just go away?
So I called Groupon Customer Service. The CS rep was STUNNED by Brasa’s handling of this. He looked up the deal and said there is absolutely no reason for them to have treated me the way that they did and absolutely should have honored the Groupon.
So if you are looking to be treated as though a restaurant has absolutely no interest in creating a relationship with you and converting you to a repeat customer then Brasa IS the place for you. But if you are like any normal person and EXPECT to be treated with respect and as though your repeat business is desired then stay as far away from this restaurant as possible.
Kenny Gilder A very unsatisfied (well I can’t really say customer or diner since they sent me away) Person

Brasa Grill is a Fake!
This place.....what a joke! My wife and I have been to other Brazilian Steakhouses and were excited to try one near our house. Every Brazilian steakhouse we have been to previously had a giant buffet and non-stop service of meat to your table. This place was the worst attempt at a Brazilian steakhouse ever!! Where do I begin? The buffet was described as an "amazing meal in itself"...and is utterly dismal, and it was only half stocked. The buffet was about 1/3 the size of others we've tried (for the same money). The service was completely terrible, so terrible that I am surprised they are still in business. We were only brought half of the meat they advertised and were not asked if we wanted more wine after ours was done. We got ripped off! If you want to try a real Brazilian Steakhouse check out Texas De Brazil!

I HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE AT THIS RESTAURANT
After reading some mixed reviews, I can say that I had a great time eating at this place . The meat served was great, the staff were really nice -although our server seemed tired of repeating the same instructions and menus all over again and again, but he was accommodating when needed to- , those fried sweet plantains are what heaven taste like , the music was nice, the lighting too ... I think the staff might be somewhat overworked, but they do not acted rude or unprofessional , at least not to us.

Wow, people will pay good money for novelty
It just isn't good. How could it possibly be good? Meat need to be cooked to temp and served fresh. Serving the entire restaurant from the same loin all night just doesn't work. They have to keep it under a heat lamp and it continues to cook and dry out. Notice that they never ask how you like your meat prepared.
Bad business model in my opinion

If you love meat- Eat here
The food is amazing. Go there with a HUGE appetite. Don't fill up on the salad/appetizer buffet. The meat is worth it! Pretty pricey but definetly worth the experience. The service is not the best but the meat makes up for it. Bad parking due to the location but amazing, amazing , amazing. The meal is $35. Drinks are definetly pricey as well.

Bogus Brasa
My husband and I went out for the first time in ages and were excited to try out Brasa. We had a great table for two by the wine -very private. We went up to the salad bar to find they were out of salad greens. I asked for more and it took 10 to 15 minutes until someone returned with more. The shrimp cocktail reminded me of the kind you buy around the plastic ring from the grocery store. They were small and mushy. The shrimp with corn chowder hot dish was absolutely terrible. I waited for 15 minutes for more of it to be brought out--there was just the chowder sauce left when I went to get some. When I did get some they were chewy and flavorless. The mahi-mahi was okay but certainly not worth $35! My husband is the meat eater and said the lamb chop was decent, but overcooked. The filet and beef tenderloin were dry and tased like a cheap grade of meat. When our waiter finally came around I told him we were disappointed in our meal. He shook his head and brought us the bill. He never brought the manager over to our table or asked us what specifically was wrong. Our bill came to $89. It was a complete waste of money!! We were furious. We ended up at Shushi Rock. My husband felt so sick to his stomach from the meat, so he watched me eat a sushi roll while he sipped a water. What a disappointment!! By the way, this restaurant was recommended to us obviously by someone who has never eaten there. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is not about the money....it is about the quality and service that did not exist.

Brasa must mean mediocre
My girlfriend and I went to Brasa's as a special evening for my birthday, originally she was going to take me to another place for dinner, I suggested Brasa's because of a experience with a place in San Diego that was very similar. First off, while we were stuck in traffic because of a sporting event, the "Valet" stand was empty, not a person in sight. The gentlemen at the front was just standing there (apparently was the manager when speaking with another customer) I had my girlfriend pull down the next street and park her car as I went up to the front enterance. Asked the man standing "is there valet"..he said yes right in front of the resturant, I said "should we just turn around and continue to heavy traffic to stop traffic"? He was EXTREMELY RUDE and acted like he didnt care. As we entered the resturant, as a table of two we were sat at a table for 6 when there was plenty of 2 or 4 top tables. The madra'de was extremely knowledgable and was very curitious. The food was somewhat poor for the amount of money paid, every piece of meat served was highly salted. And the service was extremely poor for a higher class atmosphere. Not only was the light above our table out, so was the restroom stall I was in at the end of the meal. The mens room looked like a downtown nightclub after 40 people had there way in there. Probably wont be a guest again, nor recommend to friends or family. Desperate need of a rag, soap and alittle more friendliness.

Amazting service and food for large parties
A group of 21 of our friends went on sunday 03/28/2010 for my husband and my friends birthday. We heard mixed reviews about how the service would be for large groups. And all i can say is what an amazing experience, they were vert tentative and always was cheking to see if we needed anything. The food was amazing, especially the parmesan crusted filet. You def. get your monies worth for all the cuisine food that is there for you to experience. They are able to cater to large parties like this and we plan on going back there again. I also recommed to get the raspberry cheescake. All of us had a wonderful time and was very pleased with all the great hospitality and service they provided us.

It's Valentine's Day so we give bad service!
I have been at Brasa twice before and counted it as my favorite restaurant. For example, I went with my boyfriend for our anniversary and we were in heaven. However, we will never go again during a holiday or other busy day. While I still thought the food was great, the service completely ruined the whole experience this past Valentine's Day. One of the pieces of meat was very rare and the blood spread out on my plate and was soaked up in the rice. It was disgusting to look at. I waited for 30 minutes for someone to take the plate before I asked the waitress if she could please remove the plate. She didn't! I waited another 20 minutes and another waiter finally took the plate. We also asked for additional fried bananas. They never came. It became apparent that after sometime they stopped caring for certain customers and ignored them. I would recommend going on a regular day rather than one you might expect to be busy.

VERY POOR experience; horrible business practices
Dinner for 4 - first time for all. Regardless of the food served (which was OK), we & our guests are highly unlikely to EVER return. Submitted $150 gift card toward bill of $110 (for 2). Waiter returned over 20m later to inform us that there was nothing left of our GC & mumbled something about gratuity. We asked to see the bill for an explanation; returned with a woman who explained that they do not issue cash or new GC for the remainder of the balance on the GC and that we essentially HAD to leave the $40 as a tip of 40%!!! Her only suggestion was that our counterparts assume part of that $40 into their tip despite the fact that their bill had been settled 30m prior (tip included), but she assured them that she would not charge their CC for the tip, only their bill. We were all doubtful that this will actually occur - we shall see! We never did see our receipt (other than the original). They completely ignored us after the 'bill incident'. We also asked to have our GC returned to use on another occasion, but she declined and stated that she could not do this because she had already torn the original GC (which she showed to us) & was unable to issue a new replacement one. VERY SHADY. Spend your money elsewhere as ours was essentially taken from us.

Brasa = Wonderful dining experience!
Wife and I went to Brasa on 12/20/09 for dinner. What a feast. neither of us had been there before. Only read online reviews. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and led to our table. Waiter explained everything to us and were led to the salad bar. It was loaded with not only a salad section but, many delicious pre-made salads, several hot dishes, cheese, olives, and delicious seafood. When we returned from the salad bar a basket of Brazilian bread was on the table. After we finished our salad we turned our card over to green and began the meat extravaganza. Our favorite was the parmesan encrusted filet mignon. It was very tender and had a great flavor. We liked some of the other selections and didn't like some others.

GREAT FOOD, SERVICE NOT SO GREAT
We ate there the other day with 9 people. Food was great but im not sure if the staff didnt understand english or was intentionally ignoring us. We asked for refills to four different people,..FOUR!! Finally the host came over and asked how things were and we said weve been waiting for a half hour for a refill of drinks (ice tea and coke) and he left and then we waited another ten minutes. It was almost funny. I was disapointed they added 20% to my bill too,. The service was not worth 20% or $100. The tip should have been about $50 max. Loved the food but im done i wont go back. I went annually with my family but this last time really bugged me.

Best meal I have had in a very long time!!!
Last week my family and I decided to go out to dinner. We wanted to go somewhere new and different so we decided to go to Brasa. I had heard so much about this restuarant, but i was kind of skeptical because of some of the not so good reviews that have been posted. But from the moment my family and i walked into the beautiful restaurant.. it became our new favorite place. When we walked in we were greated by a very welcoming staff. We were seated and told about the salad buffet.. which i shouldnt even call that because of the vast amounts of non-salad foods that they had. They had mahi mahi, brazilian pork and beans, and tons and tons of other delicious salad type-foods. I could have made a whole meal based just on that, but of course we decided to get the meat, and wow, i am so glad we did that. Immediately when we turned our brasa card to green, we were greeted by one of the meat cutters. He was so polite and very knowledgeable about the meat.. and wow, it was delicious. Every single cut of meat that we ate tasted distinctly different and absolutely amazing. It was juicy and delicious. In addition to the salad and the meat, we were also given rice, potatoes, fried bananas (ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS), and brazilian seasonings. Everything that I ate that day was absoultely fabulous and I will definitely go back as soon as possible. After our meal, we decided to get dessert. We got cheese cake, crem brulee, and the coffee. They were absolutely amazing. If i would have known how decadent the desserts would be, I would have definitely saved more room for them...if that is even humanly possible to pass up the meat when it is presented in front of you. And then lastly, to end the meal, our server came over and gave my whole family a shot of some sort of alcohol. It was meant to settle your stomach after a big meal. And wow, that was a fantastic way to end an amazing meal. I will definitely be back again soon !
And I really recommend that you go to Brasa, it is definitely worth the trip!!!!!!!!

Not the Like the Texas De Brazil
We were very disapointed in this restaurant. We have eaten at the Texas De Brazil in Chicago and were expecting the same quality of meat and service. We were wrong. The lamb was rotten and when we brought it to their attention, the excuse was that it comes from New Zealand and they won't eat it themselves? What!!! I would never serve someone something that I wasn't willing to eat myself. The service was slow, so slow that we didn't need to turn our disk over when we didn't want any more meat, because we had to keep waiting for it to come. I will never eat there again. It is worth the trip to Chicago to go to the Texas De Brazil, that is a fabulous meal.

A Bad First Impression
Last night my husband and I went Braza for our anniversary. Also we took our three year old son. My husband has been dying to take me here because he ate at Texas De Brazil in Memphis and said the meats melted in your mouth. The meat last night did not melt in my mouth. On average the meats were over cooked, and the all tasted the same greasy. I only tried the prime rib, flank(I did not actual taste it because I had the first cut and it was as tough as leather), sirlion, and filet. The prime rib tasted like roast and no I did not get the roast I passed on it. I did not get thirty-five dollars worth of food but maybe ten. The guys serving the food were not very friendly. Now for the positive, they did not charge my three year old, but he only ate rice which was very good. The salad bar is wonderful if you like seafood cold. It is a salad bar so most of the mixes are cold, but they do have a few hot items. The place is beautiful and our serve was very friendly and talked to my three year old. I will not try this restaurant again I believe when you are this pricy you only get one chance to make a good fist impression.

Great Food and all I can eat!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Cleveland. If you love meat this is the place to go! You get as much steak, pork, chicken, and lamb chops as you can eat. The quantity of food is definitely unmatched. The quality of food is also excellent--especially the bacon wrapped steak. The wine list is very good and service is excellent. Brasa also has a great salad bar.

One time experience is all you need
I had to check this place out, I dined here a few months after it opened. The buffet had alot of items on it, but I came for the beef. First of all they sat us next to the kitchen doors, yet I had to flag down a carver coming out of the kitchen more than once. Then they explained the carvers touted 9 types of beef, sausage and turkey. I passed on the turkey, never got any sausage, and the tenderloin was charred beyond recognition, All I dined on was 4 types of meat, and remember , I was seated next to the kitchen doors. Then we ordered the Mojitas, I dont like rum so I gave my husband that one , and my girlfriend and I ordered the vodka Mojitas, watching the bar tender prepare these I realized, hes making us vodka gimlets!!! Throw around some spanish names and reinvent the wheel. It was an experience, but I wouldnt go back. I will say that they have the most beautiful bathrooms I have ever seen in a public space...

Absolutely amazing!
I went with a group of about ten people who had all actually gone to a real brazilian steak house, in Sao Paulo Brazil. Every single one of them said that not only the food was exactly like it would be in brazil, but also the atmosphere. All of the meats were cooked perfectly, and were continuously served. Be prepared to pay 35.00 a plate, our total bill was pushing 600$! But that was because we got pitcher after pitcher of guarana, the stuff is awsome. The waiters/servers are all very friendly and know a great deal about all the different foods, ask questions and have fun, at this most amazing restaurant!

High End Delicious Meat-Loving Dining
Brasa is food and an experience. Here's a tip: Nibble at the delicious salad bar and save yourself for filet mignon, lamb, sausage, flank steak and more. On a bad day the meat may be mildly greasy. But usually it is a meat connoisseur's heaven. I'm confused by gripes about $200 bills and $4 soft drinks. This restaurant is the cornerstone of the Warehouse District, home to many of Cleveland's best clubs and restaraunts. Be prepared to pay - the food is worth it.

Wait at 8
Third time a disaster at Brasa, reservations for our party at 8, not seated till 9, lied to by hostess about being seated in 5 to 10 minutes 4 times. Salad bar not as good as previous two visits, only one cut of meat made our exccellent list, the other 15 cuts were average and several were dried out at best. Big disappointment!

Keep your hands off of the table
Last night I went to Brasa Grill with my husband and a group of friends. Let me start by saying that the food was really good. The meats were all wonderful and the salad bar was more like a buffet. Overall it was a pretty good experience. I’ve told you the good so I guess it’s time to get to the bad and the ugly. First of all who gives you all you can eat meat (not spam and lunch meat - tenderloin) and charges for refills on pop – that is just stupid. The waiter tried to tell us that everyone in the area does it and that some places even have “club service” which means that if you were to order a rum and coke they charge like $8 for the rum and $4 for the coke – Yeah Right! This is Cleveland not New York most of the people around here are working class and no establishment that charged that much for a drink would last long. Now for the scary stuff…. One of the guys that goes from table to table with the meat cut one of the people in our party. We immediately told our host so that #1 the knife could be taken off of the floor and cleaned and #2 he could bring her a band-aid. He rushed off (without asking who did it) and then proceeded to run around for ten min. whispering to people and then came back with no band-aid. She told him that she was more concerned about the knife and he told her not to worry because they were the cleanest restaurant around – we then had to explain that it was not sanitary for the rest of the people in the place to eat meat cut with a contaminated knife but I’m not sure he wanted to understand – by then it was too late anyways. Finally the manager came with some band-aids and told her that she would be taken care off. To all of us that meant she ate for free but when the bill came they had charged us. We told our host and it was taken off the bill although you could tell they were not happy about it.

They messed up the little stuff
I am a frequent diner of mid to high-end restaurant. I have never been treated like I was at Brasa Grill last weekend. After a $200 bill I felt moved to write this review. Normally, I don’t write reviews like this but felt moved to be my experience.
This was my second trip to Barsa Grill. When the restaurant first opened my wife and I tried to dine there. They were completely over booked and after a 2-hour wait, and the hostess had locked herself in the wine cellar crying, we left. Figuring they were still ironing out the bugs we decided to give them another chance.
On Saturday July 16, 2005 we made our second trip to Brasa. The place was mostly empty at 8pm (not surprising after our last experience). We were seated promptly and our meal was great. All the meat one can eat, delivered and carved table side. The service was also good. When I received the bill I found we were charged for each soda (pop). I first ordered a mixed drink for $6 dollars and switched to Diet Coke. At the same time my wife had two $8 glasses of wine and so did my mother in law. My father had a few soda's and I got some refills. We were charged $10 for 5 pops.
I asked the waiter about it and he replied rudely "it's the house policy" and proceeded to blame the restraunts. I asked for the manager, who came to the table ready to fight, who blamed the server. I don’t care whose fault it was. It is ridiculous to charge that much for soda after a $37/person plus alcohol. I was really, ok with it until the "general manager" told us to "do what were going to do." After, that I vowed to Never-Ever return to the Brasa Grill. I hope you won’t either.

Brasa, which occupies the recently vacated Circo/Zibibbo space in downtown Cleveland, is a curious mix of fine dining and free-for-all. The concept is known as churrascaria: A wide variety of different cuts of beef, pork, lamb and chicken are brought directly to each table in succession, where servers either carve thin slices from a larger cut (roast beef, flank steak, filet mignon) or offer small portions (sausages or bacon-wrapped turkey). Diners can eat as much or as little as they like, signaling servers to the table by flipping a small disk - green on one side, red on the other. The fixed-price menu offers the full churrascaria experience for $35; diners with a lighter appetite can choose the salad bar alone for $25. (Don't let the term ""salad"" fool you, though - pasta, sushi and fish are also available.) White tablecloths, solicitous service and beautiful surroundings make an interesting backdrop for a large salad bar and all-you-can eat service, but the steady crowd at Brasa seems to indicate that no one is getting hung up on such trifling matters.

Great Food & Show Business!
Wife and I stopped in for a Saturday dinner...for $35.00 each you get an incredible salad bar with all kinds of sea food.....shrimp....sushi....you can have that alone for $25.oo and its worth it !!! But the Meats! The bring about 12 different kinds out cooked to perfection...one by one......so by the time you have tasted them all you get seconds of the ones you liked best like the fillet and sirloin! All cokked over wood fires....Dont be in a hurry! And the larger the group the more fun.....You really get your moneys worth in great food and atmosphere.....also has a cozy bar area with attentive staff...I will be back!
