We were greeted by very friendly workers. We chose to sit outside and watch people walking by as were eating. The chips were homemade and the best we have ever eaten. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer, they were very generous witht the shredded beef and cheese. Our dinners were served promptly, the food was hot and very tastey. Give this restaurant a try, we did and we were glad that we did not let the other reviews change our mind.

The worst ceviche I have ever had!

Me and my boyfriend agree that they had the worst ceviche ever. It had three pieces of shrip and served in a watery spaghetti sause-like paste. Their salsa is similar...However, the chips were good. I think that they were trying to be creative, but clearly bad. The beans were bland and cold and the shrimp for my entree was not fresh and they were over cooked. However, the margarittas are rather good and fairley priced. The $20 margaritta is HUGE. Atmosphere is cool, but I don't like the fact that you have to walk down the stairs to find the restroom. I usually have a nice time when I visit there, but the food is always disappointing:(

Yuck!

My husband and I stopped in for dinner before a game. The food is completely tasteless. I have never had to salt Mexican food before. The location may be good, but the food is awful. The bathrooms were a mess too. Don't bother!

Food Not Good

Wow.. I was so excited when I heard the great chef Sanchez was taking control of the menu. I had eaten here before he came and was disgusted. How disappointing even with Sanchez on board. I couldn't believe how incredibly average this place was. It was a slight improvement -- I found the food to have a better quality but still lacking so much. We should have a fantastic Mexican place in the downtown market -- but NO.. it's not happening!

oh no not again????

Did I really go again after I heard they got this new NY celebrity guru of mex cuisine? Did I really put myself through this again? How could I have gone again spent 1/3 more and get an even worse experience. I want to like this place. I live right down the street and still I could kick myself every time I go in there. At least I think that the next restaurant that goes in there has a good shot because it cannot get any worse and the landlords will rent it for a steal. anyone want to open a good place???????

Fine Tasting Tequila

They can certainly make a drink for me anytime. My wife, brother in law, and I stopped in to have a pre-dinner drink before heading across the street. The prices were fair for Top Shelf. Little did I know until the other night that not all Tequila is made to shoot, some is made to sip. I'd love to have dinner there sometime. There were a lot of people in the bar that came over after the Cavaliers playoff game, appears to be a good post-game hangout

Keep In Mind:
Rating everything 5 stars or all 1 stars is typically not very useful to others as makes you look a bit biased.

Remember, you can still visit a not so perfect place (ie, a dive joint) and still give it 5 overall stars.
