The best restaurant in Cleveland
Took my out-of-the-town guests to have dinner at Melange and they were really surprised to find out we have that type of establishment in Cleveland. Everything was amazing, beautiful decor, great atmosphere, warm service starting from a hostess ending the management. We got there on Friday when they have live music and no cover charge, which made our dining experience even more special. Bread service was unique and sooo good, trust me I go out a lot, and nobody in Cleveland offers anything close. Everybody was very pleased with their food, I had tuna napoleon for app and halibut as an entree. I highly recommend Melange.

Good lunch find. I ordered a watermelon gazpacho with avocado sorbet which was attractive and very good. The sorbet did not come through the other flavors but that did not detract at all. The salad Nicoise was tasty, and composed rather than mixed which is my preference. It was well dressed, something I rarely find. The tuna salad on it was novel, but made with good ingredients so it worked. My only suggestion is replace the Kalamata olives with Nicoise olives:) Really enjoyed the Mango iced tea.
The service at the front desk was great which I appreciate when I'm meeting someone at a restaurant. Knew immediately that I was the first to arrive. The server was attentive, checked on ingredients for us, but forget to let us know. Passed my toughest test after the food, which is can I talk to the person I'm meeting in a relaxed way or do we have to strain to hear each other. Great spacing on the tables and background music is just that, in the background.
Good value on the food. I would return in a second for business meetings.

Been there love that..
I have been to Melange several times since they opened in 2007. It was a little uneven in the beginning but over the last several months this place has been as good as any restaurant in the city. Was there last weekend and had their Halibut special which was outstanding. My date had the Trout which was also great. Wine list is deep and selections are materially less than other area places with the same wines. Found a Chilean wine that I had read about but couldn't find anywhere else in town.

Delicious Food!
I have dined there for lunch on several occasions. Each time my meal was excellent. The service is a little slow, but the food makes up for it. I recommend it to anyone looking for a classy and tasty lunch!

Melange: don't waste your time or money!
Our 1st & last visit. Though there was hardly any customers there at 5:15pm, it still took a total of 55 minutes to get our entrees, & things afterwards, went down hill very fast. Service stank. I ordered the lamb which was cooked perfectly, the garlic mashed potatoes had no garlic taste whatsoever, the ratatouille looked like vomit, worse yet, with a hair in it. My fiance's ROAST duck, came out FRIED, as in deep fried. No apologies from our server much less the mgr. Mgr took my entree off the bill, but I informed the server that I was not paying for the duck which was also uneaten. I don't see how anyone could eat it, it was so fried that it actually had a loud crackling noise when he tried to get the leg off the thigh, which was totally unedible as well. I paid for the wine & the appetizer only. I did tip the server only $3 which she didn't deserve, as she only brought my wine out. Another guys brought our apps & entrees. Ironically, after going to the mall, it was rather late, we wound up going to Big Boy's of all places, for a burger. Food & service was way far better!
The only thing Melange has going for them is the nice ambiance!
