good food and beer- terrible service
I used to live just down the street from the Taphouse and used to go at least once a month. The beer selection is really good and happy hour burgers are what gets me in the door! However, unless you're really a "regular" or you happen to stand out in some way, the service is pretty poor. It has happened to me on at least 2 or 3 occasions where I would sit at the bar and people would sit down after me, get their drinks and menus before I would even be acknowledged. The last time I wasn't so I left. A couple times before that it literally took 15-20 minutes after I got my beer for them to come back to me and take my order. If you want a really great burger and beer and don't really care about being served, this is a great place. Other than that- stay home and buy yourself a 6-pack of Great Lakes!

TAPHOUSE great for BEER, food prices will make you WHINE!
went into the taphouse last night for dinner and some beers.....neat place, great little spot thats been carved out of old bricks that have years of history. the large garage door behind the bar opens up to a large outdoor patio. the selections of beers are fantastik! the food, on the pricy side for a "beer house bar". the one highlight was the chorizo tacos from the appetizer list and their pizzas are great. the $16 tuna sandwich is UNSPECTACULAR as are most of the other entree selections. i have no problem shelling out money for great food, but NOT in a "corner bar" environment. the server was adequate. the one bartender was very cold and rather rude....COME FOR THE BEERS AND AN APPETIZER, eat dinner someplace else!
