RJ Bolands shut it doors forever
Went down before the Cavs exhibition game vs Charlotte and was going to stop in but there was a sign on the door that ithas shut its doors. The economy in Cleveland is bad enough and with Lebron leaving.....who is going to pay $20 to park, $7.00 a beer and below .500 basketball? Sadly, this place wont be the only closing in the future.

Worst Dining Experience I have Ever had
We visited RJ Bolands on Saturday, the weekend of the Fourth of July. There were 4 adults and 6 kids. We stopped in for dinner before the start of the Tribe game. We were seated right away around 6:15pm. We were told that no entrees from the menu were available, only sandwiches and appetizers. We received our drinks from our waitress and the kids were each given kids menus with crayons. The kids menu offered " Kids 10 and under eat free" We did order 1 appetizer and it arrived with in 20 minutes. However after one hour no food orders had arrived. At this time there was only 2 other tables in the dining area. Our waitress did an excellent job giving us drinks but told us there was still a wait on the food. Finally one of the kids cheese pizza came out. There was another family sitting next to us with 3 kids who were there before us and they had NOT GOTTEN ANY FOOD yet. We acutally gave them some of our kids pizza to their kids. About one hour and a half later some of us got our food while others continued to wait. One of the kids chicken tenders were still raw in the middle.
The manager never came to our table to apologize. Finally I asked the waitress why she was taking the brunt of this terrible experience and asked for the manager to come to my table. The manager, a young male who appeared to be in his late 20's came to our table and said his chef was on vacation, the sous chef called off and he only had his "prep" guys in the kitchen. He was very sarcastic and seemed to care less that we had a terrible experience. He said he would take 30% off our bill.
We got the bill but noticed contrary to the " Kids 10 and under eat free" all the kids meals were on the final bill. My wife approached the manager and he stated " That is only during Monsters Games" She quickly pointed out that the waitress gave us the kids menus and NO WHERE on the menu does it state " Kids 10 and under eat free" ONLY DURING MONSTER GAMES. He refused to remove these meals from the bill. We could care less about the free meal however at this point it was the principal that RJ Bolands was clearly wrong and the manager would not fix the situation. Needless to say our terrible dining experience finally ended with the TRIBE game in the bottom of the 4TH INNING!!! To our waitress, who I believe it was Jessica, thank you for doing the best that you could and I am sorry you had to work for such a terrible manager. As you suggested, my wife did try calling back the restaurant to talk to the GM another day but did not get a phone call back.

Horrible Service...by a Manager!
We had been patrons at R.J. Bolands several times in the bar area and had pleasant experiences. However, a few weeks ago, we had a terrible experience for dinner there. We arrived at 4:35 to have dinner before the 6:00 Cavs game. We were seated immediately, which was nice. The place filled quickly shortly after we were seated. Our waitress came to take our drink order, but then took another 20 minutes to revisit our table to take our order. Once our order was taken, we waited...and waited...and waited. Not a word from the waitress on our food status, see how we were doing, etc. 40 minutes later, I asked about our food and she said another 5 minutes. About 10 minutes later, our food came out. At this point it was 5:50 and we knew we'd be late to the game.
A few minutes later, a manager (I assume) came over to our table and to ask "how everything was?" We said the food was good, but I mentioned that it took a very long time. His response: "Ha, I know! We got hit pretty good there and everyone sat down at once! Oh well, enjoy the game!" No apology whatsover. And, "oh well" as a response to a customer?!
While we all understand a restaurant can get slammed and food can be delayed, there's really no excuse for the lack of customer service we experienced. We were not looking for a discount on our food or anything, just a simple acknowledgement from SOMEONE that our food was taking a long time and perhaps would make us late for the game. And the manager's strange response was even more bewildering.
We left confused, frustrated and running late for the game after wolfing down our dinner. I also emailed the restaurant a few days later and never received a response. With all of the restaurants and bars to choose from, it's safe to say we won't be choosing this one again.

Dunno
Well someone put tarter sauce on my plate of Cajun Wings. Thought it tasted funny, was interesting. Sweet Potatoe Fries were different. Think I'll stick to the traditional. Burgers were to be cooked WELL, Think the cook is maybe blind, as even in the dim lite dinning area we could see the blood oozing from our "well" done burgers. That's right, two people order well done and got medium rare. Service was ok. Waiter very apologetic to the "Tarter sauce", was suspose to be Blue Cheeese. Will stick to Panini's when we go to a game from now on. Only tried RJ's do to winning Gift Cert on WGAR's (Thanks, Micheal J!!!) Atmosphere seemed okay, except for the table being next to a door, brrrrrrr and the music being too loud.

Late for the Cavs game!
Very slow service!
I missed 15 minutes of the Cavs game due to the incredibly slow service.
The waitress knew our plans, but the kitchen could not deliver the food timely. This was a huge frustration and put a big damper on our night!
We will not be back!
