Good food, good time, good service

I have eaten here quite a few times and have always enjoyed the meal. The service is good without being in the way and its hard to beat the value for the price. Looking forward to trying a pizza, I've only heard good things about them. Full bar and nice wine list.

Fabulous Valentin's Day!!!

Had dinner with my wife and the whole experience was fantastic! The food came out hot and promptly, the service was exemplary (in spite of the fact that the restaurant was jammed), and they had the most amazing singer! This guy sounded like "Dean Martin"! He was incredibly professional, moving from table to table singing to the customers while they were dining! I felt like I was in a Vegas niteclub! We will surely come back with our friends!

Comfort food and atmosphere

We love the cozy feel and visit often, Great salads, house dressing is our favorite. We like everything on the menu...just depends on our taste buds and mood for the night. Marco and everyone involved make it feel like one big kitchen at home. ; ))

Not bad but not the same Andalaros

We have been going here since it opened. It is our daughter's favorite restaurant. We are in there about 4 times a year. We went in tonight and oh my, what a change. (we've missed a few visits and stayed home due to illness and such in family, last time we were there was 5/2012) The bread used to be fresh baked and warm, now it resembles a store bought bread toasted, the dipping sauce looked the same but tasted way different. The restaurant had maybe 4 tables occupied when we came in and service was super slow. The steak salad portion was smaller as was the spaghetti portion with the chicken parm.,calamari was rubbery and the coating was dark probably from old oil, and coating was different and portion again smaller; daughter got spumoni and serving size was half of previous visits. The fountain had partial working lights and no water feature running. The walls were touched up with unmatched paint, light bulbs needed to be replaced...they changed the table setting and had an ugly flower in vases. The few positive things I can say: staff were nice, food ok, prices great. This is our family's opinion of the restaurant tonight, sad.

Clueless

I ordered cavatelli that was horrible. The owner is very cocky about his food. The food is normally good but what bugs me is he gets you on every add on. Figure that in your price. If you get delivery and your bill should be fifteen bucks they hat it up yo twenty. Charges for everything. I like to tip five bucks on deliveries but with them you can't.

Will not find better Italian Food!!!

I have made the drive out to Willowick to eat at this fabulous restaurant many times. I live 30 minutes away, so that is saying something! The staff is always very friendly and after just a few visits will know you by name and know how you like your food prepared. The food is very inexpensive and the portions are very large. You will definitely be bringing extra food home, which is a good thing because I have tried everything on the menu and I can honestly say that their food is by far the best I have ever eaten. I am a very adventurous eater that enjoys everything from sushi to chipotle, but the food from this restaurant far surpasses all of that. I have come here many times with friends and family. This is also a great place to take a date, wether it be a first date or a 50th anniversary. They also are very accommodating to large parties, as they have a large open dance floor on one side of the restaurant that can take parties of 50 or more. I am away at college and haven't enjoyed a meal there in quite some time and I can say that one of the things I look forward to on breaks from school is going to this restaurant. The atmosphere is just as great as the food. They have an interesting selection of music playing that ranges from traditional Italian polka to modern european songs (if they are ever playing something you don't like, you can just ask them to change it and they will happily do so). I have met the owner and have enjoyed some great conversations with him, as well as the rest of the staff. This place has always been worth the drive for me and I encourage everyone to give it a shot.

Don't bother!

Went here last night and will never go back. We felt rushed as soon as we sat down. I ordered Alfredo. To add chicken it was $3. Extra and so was the brocolli. Had 3 pieces of broccoli in it and 3 pieces of TOUGH chicken in it. And it was expensive! What a waste of money. Did I mention the phoney waitress? Stay away from this place.

Food is delicious!!!!

My husband and I decided to try Andaloro's as we could not find many restaurant establishments open on a Sunday in that area. We haven't been to the neighborhood in probably 10 years and were anxious to try a new place. I had the cavatelli, my husband the veal parm--the food is absolutely delicious. The only things I did not care for was the ceiling was so dark, sprayed with a dark blue paint and 3 p.m. felt like midnight. My pasta was served in a plastic pasta dish that looked like it was ready for the rubbish--grease stains and just didn't do justice for the pasta--I suggest ceramic pasta bowls. The music is horrible, it was a loud Italian polka type music, made me think I was at a carnival...very loud and just drove us to leave early. I suggest something more on the Sinatra side--a bit more calm do go w/ meals. We are Italian and have been to many restaurants and will return for the great food, but for pete's sake, ditch the carnival music, put in white ceiling tiles and pump up the service...smile, smile, smile---it will get better :)

Great food!

My first visit here the food was great, our service wasn't the best though. It was as if that was her first time serving. Thankfully our dinner was delightful. I have gone back since then and I will continue to return. The gentlemen who greets us is always so friendly and welcoming.

Awsome place to eat!!!!!!

The food is made to order, great tasting, authentic Italian. Great atmosphere. I would highly recommend that if you go on a weekend that you do make a reservation because it is so packed. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are so large that you will be able to have it for dinner the next day.

We frequent this place often. on our firs visit we were greeted and treated like family. the staff is excelant and the service top notch. the food is five star only because thats as high as the rating goes. to continue on our second visit two weeks later we were greeted BY NAME and asked if we wanted the same drinks as last time. this is something special in todays world. To say the least we have been totally pleased with the way we are treated and the food. we have been goin there for over a year now and will continue. we reccomend this fine place top anyone who is tired of the same old routine and desires to feel at home.

food good. ambiance poor.

I ordered a glass of white wine and the chicken piccata. Food was delicious as always. But tonight I felt rushed while ordering, even though I was one of two tables. Also, there was Italian music coming from one corner of restaurant, some kind of dance mix coming from another, dancing with the stars at audible volume on the tv in the bar, one of the employee's kids whining to his mom while wandering back and forth from kitchen to dining room, and somebody goofing off with the house piano. My waitress hovered near my table after dropping check when I was less than halfway through main course, but did not offer a box or dessert. This was the most un-relaxing $20 dollar dinner I have ever had. I recommend placing a take out order.

Oh my God - what happened!!!!!

My husband and I have frequented this restaurant many times, and have recommended it to friends because we loved everything about it so much. This weekend was our anniversary so when Jim asked where I wanted to go to celebrate I said Andaloro's. When I tried to call for reservations - we got a recording that the telephone number was disconnected. So we drove past the restaurant and they had a new phone number posted on the window. I called from the car to make reservations only to be told we don't have that many customers so you don't need to make reservations - that was not a good statement to make. We arrived at 7 pm to find the restaurant nearly empty. The hostess greeted us and gave us a booth - a "waiter" came over introduced himself as Marcel - (we recognized him as a busboy from our past visits)- he asked for our drink order - when I ordered an Arnold Palmer - he said "what?" I repeated "Arnold Palmer" - what's that was his reply - so I told him half lemonade and half iced tea - he said we don't have that - I asked which didn't he have - he said either. so I ordered a diet pepsi with lemon - they didn't have the lemon - but my husband who had ordered water with lemon - got lemon in his water - he must have gotten the last piece. I then asked what kind of soup they had - the waiter said we don't have soup - so we ordered mussels. We placed our dinner order and the waiter came back to ask how I wanted my steak - when I placed the order I said I wanted my steak rare - which maybe was hard for him to understand - We had a conderable wait for our meal - at which time I mentioned to my husband that if the waiter brought our mussels with the meal they were going back--no surprise - they brought the mussels with the meals - so I told him that an appitizer is brought BEFORE the meal - his reply was "oh".he asked I we wanted to return them - he took them away and immediately returned with our mussels and gave them to the table next to ours - I wouldn't want to eat someone else's order - I called the waiter over and asked where the gorgonzola cheese was - he asked what that was - I told him the menu said the steak would be topped with grilled onions, mushrooms and gorgonzola cheese - he said it was there - I showed him it wasn't and he asked me to look under the steak - now when the menu says topped with...I don't expect to find the toppings under the steak - either way it didn't matter it wasn't under the steak either. I asked to see the manager - as at this point I was just fed up. Instead of the manager - the waiter brought over the cook - so apparently Marcel doesn't have a good command of the English language - the cook asked what the problem was - I told him we were disappointed about the soup - he said of course they had soup - then why did their waiter say that they didn't? He stated the the waiter was his little brother named Salvatore - which means the waiter even gave us a false name. The cook stated he would redo my order and offer to give us soup then - I didn't want soup with my meal - he then offer to pack up some soup for us to take home. We again said no thanks. We explained that this was our anniversary and we had wanted to nice meal to celebrate - he said not to worry - the steak would be removed from our bill - we thanked him. When my new steak arrived the rare steak was well done - but at that point I had given up complaining. I ate part of it and asked for a box. We were never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert but were given the check by the waiter. When we received the check we noticed that both meals were on it - and we were not given the credit promised by the cook. I wanted to say something but my husband said to chalk it up to a bad experience. We left and will have to think very hard about going back. We have always had good experiences here and can't imagine what happened - are they going out of business or what. We live in Chardon and have many restaurants there, but have felt Andaloro's was a special place - what has happened to the food quality, and service - it is like they do not care anymore about the customer.

An Irishman who loves Italian Food

My wife and I came upon this unique Italian restaurant while shopping at Shoregate and we have been back there five times since then. We meet once every two months with a group of old friends for dinner. I suggested that they meet us at Andaloro's for a great Italian meal. All ten of us ordered the Andaloro's Special and were completely satisfied with our meals and the price was very fair. I highly recommend this authentic Italian restaurant.

Unique Taste

The salad was very fresh, bread dip was authentic; great bursting flavors. The appetisers we chose were very good, the fresh spinach stuffed portabella mushrooms and the unique flavor of a traditional Sicilian Pizza was like one i never had before. Finally our main course came which was pasta Matrigiana. UNBELIEVEABLE FLAVOR. First time i ever had in Cleveland, including Little Italy. My advice is to try it yourself. You will be amazed.
