Best Italian on west side
Bucci's in Berea, Crowne Plaza, and in Strongsville are the best resaurants on the west side of Cleveland to get good, down-home southern Italian food. For someone who grew up having pasta every Sunday with a dozen people or more, this is as good as Mama Scaffidi could put out. I think she'd agree if she were still here. This is the place when you yearn for Italian. I agree the decor in Berea is outdated and could use a nice face lift.

AMAZING FOOD!!!!!
Went to bucci's in berea this weekend and it was packed!!! The service was amazing as well. the most friendly staff i have ever encountered. Eventhough everyone was extremely busy, we still received excellent and prompt service. The food.... was so good. the chicken marsalla just made my mouth tingle with joy. that meal also included a crisp fresh salad with homemade dressing and the best bread around!!!!! my marsalla also came with a side dish, i got ziti with a blush sauce which i could not finish but warmed up nicely the next day for a tasty treat!!!! I also tried the blueberry martini which was soooo tasty. My husband got the clam back and he absolutely loved the huge portions. i myself dont like seafood but we hardly spoke the whole meal because we were so busy tasting every bit of this magnificent meal. I strongly reccomend Bucci's to anyone that loves a calm relaxing atmosphere and GREAT Food!!!!

how do you say AWFUL in italian?
i don't know how many ways to say this place is just BAD! i was invited my sister-in-law to dinner at bucci's. on the inside the decor is just dated and i felt like i walked into my grandmother's parlor. the menu was full of selections that were popular in the 1980's. the server took forever to come over to even aknowledge our presence; it wasn't because they were busy, there was a small clutch of waitresses hanging out in a doorway chattering away. my steak was over cooked, the service slow, the whole experience was uneventful.....i won't be back, nor could i recommend this place......i don't understand what people see in this place. i guess i didn't get the cup of "kool-aid" to brain wash me into liking this place!

Bar atmosphere nice!
My boyfriend and I usually go for dinner then some wine. It is fun to sit at the bar and people watch. Prepare to be ignored for a while and cranky bartenders. But overall experience is nice little pricey so be ready.

J Bella Can't hear yourself eat
J Bella, owned by Bucci, was like eating in a tin can with 200 people. The food was good, however due to the very poor acoustics, the noise level was intolerable. When we left, my voice was hoarse due to having to yell to talk to people at my table. To top it off they had live entertainment. The waitress had to get right in our face to hear our order.Never again!!!

Lookin' for really good Italian?
Asked a friend recently where I could take my wife for a nice italian dinner. He mentioned Bucci's. Saturday @ 7:00, waited maybe 10 minutes for a table. Ordered some drinks, passed on the appetizers and went straight to ordering the veal parmesean and lasagna dinners. Received fresh, cool salads, tasty italian bread and LARGE portions for dinner including side of spagetti. Couldn't eat it all. Absolutely delicious! I'm not kidding either. Commented to my wife that we hadn't eaten Italian this good since the day's of Tony's restaurant/Kamms Corners in the 1980's. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fine dinner. WE WILL BE BACK!

This local favorite does double duty, offering a sports bar on one side and a lovely dining room on the other (some of the latter's tables and wood-trimmed booths provide a view of the town square). Appetizers might make a full meal for the light eater: Favorites include the jumbo shrimp and angel hair pasta, the rich crabmeat-stuffed mushrooms and French onion soup, served with generous dollops of cheese on broth-soaked French bread. The classic baked lasagna is a taste of tradition, while veal Marsala remains a mushroom-spread treat with velvety-smooth sauce and generous portions. Lunch specials vary daily, but the regular offerings of huge burgers and salads (especially the chicken Shanghai blend of field greens, spicy chicken slices and seasonings) offer consistently winning choices. For dessert, you can't go wrong with an espresso and any of the cheesecakes offered.
