Stay in business - GET MORE SERVERS
Good food and atmosphere, but service is terrible. When restuarant first opened everthing was great,we recommened it to everyone.Over the last 2 years the service has gotten awful. So there is the fix and stay in busines -- HIRE GOOD WAITERS AND WAITRESSES. Thank you

AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!
This place is the worst restaurant I have ever been to! My ribs were overcooked and almost devoid of sauce, while my wife ordered an asian chicken dinner but they were out of chicken! This means she could not order a chicken salad or pasta as a second or third option. She ended up settling for a pork chop dinner, which they were also out of! 45 minutes later, my ribs and her 4th choice fish and chips came out. The fish was ok, but the fries tasted stale and oversalted. Despite the complaints, we were refused a refund and offered gift certificates instead. We will never return for this horrible food or terrible management under any circumstances!

How is this place still in business?
The food here is really good, but just about everything else is bad. Everytime i come here there are practically no patrons it looks there was a bomb threat called in 5 minutes before i walk in the door. The service piss poor. A few weeks ago myself and a few friends went in to play trivia on a Wednesday and there were the usual minimal amount of people there, but only one waitress working. We had to get our own menu, our own silverware, and went to the bar to get our own drinks. After about 25 minutes our "waitress" came over and took our order. I timed how long it took for our food to come out, it was 47 minutes and 2 people received the wrong food/didn't even get food. When we complained the manager came out, apologized, and brought the correct food with her. They blamed the service on having only one waitress, but how does that factor into the cooks making our food slowly? Not to mention that i have been there when they had three waitresses standing around and had just as bad service, sooo...
It is a shame because as i said the food is really good, their wings are awesome, happy hour specials are good, but everything else is terrible.

Bad management
My elderly parents dined there on Tuesday. My mother took a fall off a small one step platform that was insufficiently marked. The manager, who never identified herself as such, was their server was very nasty and unsympathetic towards my parents. My mother was never asked if she needed medical attention. I am a nurse. This is unacceptable behavior for a business establishment. The manager actually said to my parents "it is not my fault you fell". They did provide two alcohol swabs, a bandaid, and a cold towel. My parents were charged for their meal and as they were leaving an employee even asked for the wet towel back. The owner contacted them a day the next day expressing his concern. Unfortunately, with employees like this the business will surely not thrive. Needless to say, my friends and family will not be visiting this establishment anytime in the near future.

Disappointing & Won't Return
The first trip to Westlake Boneyard was great - it was a busy weeknight (a Wednesday I believe), but our server was great. He was attentive, had personality, and paid attention to my daughter, our drinks, and was the highlight of our visit. Last night, on a Monday night, we went back with a group of 6, including my daughter. It took 20 minutes from the time we "sat ourselves" as they directed us, to get our first drink. Our server was also the bartender. There were 4-5 other tables in the entire restaurant with guests, and approximately 4 guests at the bar. After the 20 minute wait for our beverages, where she also made the first mistake of not bringing my 6 daughter a drink at the same time as ours (everyone knows you tend to the children at the table first), we then waited another 25 minutes for our food. 5 of the 6 plates that were delivered to our table were served luke warm, the wings were over done and dry as if they had been sitting under the heat lamp too long, the kids mac-n-cheese was boxed Kraft mac-n-cheese, and was cold, fries cold, pizza okay. The only edible meal was my buffalo mac-n-cheese. I will never return to this restaurant again. It wasn't the bartender/servers fault that she had to do both jobs, but there was also another server, and a host, and someone that seemed to be a manager/owner of some type that was standing around the same time. This place obviously does not train it's staff in the front of the house or the back of the house on proper timing for putting meals in the window or under the lamps, helping others out that seem to be overwhelmed, or multi-tasking for that matter. Don't waste your time at this place.

Terrible Service
I went there on 4-4-12 with my elderly mother. We arrived about 3:45pm and was the only diner in the restaurant. After waiting for several minutes we got NO service. The waitress was sitting at the bar on her cellphone. The bar had about 5 guys drinking who was her only concern, it was like we were not even there. I had to stand up and wave my arms to get service. That didnt work so my mother started to wave as well. Finally she came over and asked if we wanted something to drink? I replied " I would like coffee", she stated we dont make coffee this time of day unless somebody order it. I told her then, I'm ordering it.
When our food arrived the french fries were completely cold. She left our food and never returned to see if everything was ok.When she finally returned we were done with our meal, and she asked if everthing was ok? When I told her of the problem, she asked if we would like another order of fries, mind you we were done eating at this point. We refused and was given credit for the cold food.I told her if she would have checked back we would have taken care of it then. She never even refilled my coffee.
I really like their wings, but probably will give Cleats a try next time.Boneyard failed, poor service and cold food !

Avoid At All Costs!!!
This was definitely the worst dining experience I have ever had. When we arrived we were told of a 30 minute wait. There were at least a dozen tables open and several could have fit out group. 45 minutes later we had to go to the desk to get seated. It only got worse. Wrong food brought to table. Later food arrived piecemeal and was cold. Manager called and aid it was our fault and we still had to pay for food. Wrong items on bill that we refused to pay. After their screwup we were asked to leave. Ended up paying for drinks and leaving. Don't go!!!!!!!

Horrible
Me and my fiancé went there to try something new. After ordering our drinks, they showed up 25 mins later because they screwed up making them. The service sucked the food was discusting and I will never go back to that place. After talking to a manager about the service she tried to make it seem like it was our fault..... Really? great business no wonder on a friday at 6:30 pm you had a lot of empty tables.

2 Strikes - They're out!
This was our 2nd experience at the Boneyard in Westlake and it wasn't that different from our first....very disappointing. When my family of 5 pulled into the parking lot at 5:30 on a Saturday and saw the parking lot was half full we figured we would get a table quickly. The restaurant only had 2/3 of the tables full, but the hostess told us it would be a 35 minute wait. The same thing happened last time. That time however, when we were seated the waiter proceeded to apologize for the long wait for us to be seated and for him to arrive, by telling us all the "management problems" and the stories of everyone who "called off" that night. This time while we were waiting to be seated we watched 3 hostesses frequently step away from the front to have "conversations" and leave people standing without being greeted for several minutes. Our food took longer than I would expect to arrive, but not horribly late. My kids got cups with lids that didn't allow a straw to go through, so we had to take them off and then proceeded to have a spill. They said they were out of the corrects lids. The food is decent, but the poor service X 2 makes us not want to return...and I have 3 children under the age of 9, so I'm not looking for upscale! I wonder why this Boneyard is not associated with other Boneyards???

Boneyard Ribs Get 5 Stars *****
Take it from two rib-o-philes, the ribs at the Boneyard in Westlake are great! Spent a pleasant Sunday afternoon there recently and enjoyed a discounted full-slab w/fries, not too exciting cole slaw, and passable Onion Ring appetizer. The sides didn't matter, as the ribs were so excellent. Another member of our party chose the shrimp -- quantity but not necessarily quality. So, the ribbers will be returning on their own. And looking forward to it during March Madness!
