good food bad service
My husband and I have eaten twice at the chocolate bar. The food is good and priced well. Drinks are desserts are amazing. However, both times we went we had the worst service. Two different waitresses were not friendly, not personable, acted like it was a chore to be there. We have a young child at home are RARELY get to go out. The service was so bad that despite the great food, we are reluctant to go back. What a shame

Great times and Martini's
Great restaurant to meet friends. We had a party of 15 people and of course more showed up. The hostess was very freindly and help make sure that we had a table big enough for all of us. I was a little worried since the restaurant was very busy.
The server was wonderful, she explained the 30 different martinis and the menu.
Desserts were awesome.. Must go to place...

Chocolate Heaven!
After a long day at the hospital for a procedure my family and I decided to go to the chocolate bar for a little nosh before returning home to Madison.
We were instantly greeted at the door by a very friendly man named Doug who turned out to be the floor manager. He escorted us to our table and engaged us in friendly conversation for a few minutes, making us feel we had known him much longer than the ten minutes we had been there.
Our waitress came to the table with a carafe of water, we loved it! How many times have you been sitting in a restaurant waiting for the server to refill your water glass? NO wait at the chocolate bar!
Our waitress was Sharon, who was absolutely wonderful, friendly and professional, she took our orders promptly and was very helpful in describing the food. She even got us to order a few things that we hadn't considered, what a saleslady!
Within 10 minutes we had our Italian Panini sandwiches in front of us. These were the best Panini sandwhiches we've ever had, packed with spicey flavors of banana peppers, cappicola ham, and salami with provolone cheese and had obviously just come off the grille. We opted for the sweet potato fries which were delicious and afterwards choose a few desserts to end our experience. I chose the Belgian Chocolate Mousse Cake which was devine and my husband choose the pumpkin sundae which was by far the best and largest sundae that I have ever seen/ tasted. Service was friendly, our needs were met before we even were aware of them and overall the Chocolate Bar is now my favorite inexpensive place to dine. I just wish there was one closer to where I live! If you are looking for a place to call heaven go to the chocolate bar and have your dream fulfilled! Perhaps I might even see you there, I will be the one with a full table of food and a smile on my face!
