Sticky tables-WHY?
For a restaurant that gets as much buisiness as this place the tales should have been fixed long ago. When lacquering the tables they got wet. So they are sticky and it feels gross. The Shawarma is dry and the desserts old. HOWEVER, you can not beat the Lentil soup and Kids menu Chicken and Rice. Yummy! The Spinach Triangles are wonderful as well. I certainly won't tell you not to go here but those table are annoying!

Down Home Location with Far Away Tastes
Restaurant atmosphere is cozy; staff is very friendly and attentive; food is outstanding and prices are very reasonable. I've actually tried just about everything on this menu and loved it all. When ordering any of their appetizers, make sure to ask for some hot pepper sauce! It's amazing!!!

Aladdin's is Awesome
I think the previous reviewer should get over the menu change. The menu is huge and there are so many great things to try. I have never had a bad meal there. The lentil soup is terrific. The service is good. I have never run into an overbearing hostess. Usually it's crowded but the food is quick.
One thing I have noticed is that they are now pushing hot sauce which they charge extra for. I tried it once but it wasn't that great.

Menu Change Bad Idea
I am a fan of Aladdins. Their food is usually very good and also mostly good for you. It's a great place to get something that tastes good, and you can feel good about eating.
I must say though that I am disapointed by their new menu. They took off my favorite, Oasis Pitza. It was a yummy baked pita with yellow squash, alfa sprouts, garlic sauce and more.
When I inquired about it, our young waiter said, "Sorry." When I asked him what I could get that was comparable he said "I don't know." I asked him to ask the kitchen what they recommend and he said, "The Chef said there is nothing really."
Great, my favorite thing is off the menu and they're unaccomodating. I asked for the manager, hoping she could steer me in the right direction and also to express my disapointment. She said, "Yeah, but even if you express your disapointment, they're not going to bring it back." Okay, but at least act like my opinion matters. Afterall, I'm the one suggesting to my friends we eat here all the time. Finally, she said they could make somthing similar but since there are no substiutions, even though I would minus something on another pitza, I would pay for somehting to be added. I understand the intention of this, it's to deter customers from special ordering. But then why are you telling me to do this?
I have not given up on Aladdin's yet though. I have gone back and asked them to make a pitza semi similar. It was bad, not even close. But I go for other items, and because their prices are good. However, each time I am still craving my favorite. But I guess I have to be open to change.
Last month, I called and asked what time they were open till as I didn't want to come in 5 minutes to close. They said 10, and we went at 9:30, knowing we could catch a quick bite. I was disapointed when the manager told us to order right away as they close at 10. Yes, I understand, but most restaurants stop seating at 10, not kick you out and make you feel like a nuisance.
Oh, Aladdin's, what is happening to you?

Except for the reception
I love Aladdin's - and the Aladdin's in Lakewood is no exception. The menu is wonderful. Service is very good. The hostess needs to tune it down a bit, although she's over-exuberant, not unpleasant. She's very, very loud. The food and service is wonderful! I love it.

Carryout addicts across Greater Cleveland swear by Aladdin's, but the vibrant decor and warm service will make you think twice about getting a meal to go. Regardless of your dining decision, return trips are necessary: The Lebanese menu serves plenty of both meat-based and vegetarian dishes, all prepared without preservatives, sulfites or additives. Start with the traditional favorites, such as hummus, shish tawook, falafel and fattoush, or try the pitza pitas, pizzas made with pita bread and a selection of fresh toppings. Not one for ethnic cuisine? Many of Aladdin's menu items - including pita roll-ups, chicken salad and fruit smoothies - are adapted for the less-adventuresome palate.
