Great place. May have been the original one in Cuyahoga County
I remember this place when it opened up many years ago. No one had heard of it before and were a little sick of the Taco Bell scene. Just look at it now! This was not the first one ever in Ohio, but may have been the first in Cuyahoga County and one of the earlier places to go into business overall.
They warned my friend when he got a job there that it is expanding North and will be a great place to work. Glad that it had really caught on and is doing well. I just felt bad that they had to take major risks with unproven managers who steered a friend and whoever else down a bad path.
It is nice they have Mexican Beer for the Beer Drinkers out there, but how can they let young kids sell it? At a bar you need to be 19 to serve it and I do not think you are allowed to open it. You need a bartender to get it ready to serve for you. I am pretty sure the person I talk about just turned 18 back then. The managers were probably only a few years older, but should have been a bit more responsible.
One manager had used beer to reward him many times, nearly all the time. Do not think he was doing so to make advances on him, but to gain acceptance and friendship. My friend was a good and smart kid who was in great shape and can really play basketball. Things fell apart for this great potential college student. He dropped out of Cleveland State and became an alcoholic. He ruined relationships with his family + friends. While he still has not amounted to nearly a fraction of what he could have been. Lucky he is still alive.
So you you have a relative who worked there between eight or nine years ago I hope they are alright. I am sure he was not the only person that was rewarded with the beer.
Food is great made fresh right in front of you while you walk down the lane. They have many young high school or college aged kids who have that as one of their first jobs. They seem to do well with having friendly and hard workers.
