Best Restaurant in Cleveland is not in Cleveland, but Aurora
Christopher's Aurora Bistro is the top restaurant in Cleveland. We were recommended to this restaurant 2 years ago and have been impressed ever since. We have a love of great food and wine, which is what you will find at this restaurant. This is a small family run establishment. The food is tremendous and the wine list is incredible. We most recenltly did a Chef's table with two other couples and were blown away by the fantastic food and wine pairings. Each item was uniquely prepared for us (none of which was available on their normal menu, a rarity at chef's tables). This is by far the best restaurant in the Cleveland area.

Christopher's Aurora Bistro fits its Central City Historical Zone setting perfectly. Located in a century home, the bistro's days-gone-by appeal continues with its calming interior of subdued colors, ecru linens and classic black chairs. Chef Christopher Shydlowski changes the menu bimonthly; you might be able to sample his excellent bruschetta and New England clam chowder, or try the standout salad of spring mix and chopped romaine with candied walnuts, blue cheese and sliced apples marinated in vanilla-scented orange juice. A refreshing mango sorbet comes to the table before beautifully presented entrees such as roast Muscovy duck breast and Chilean sea bass; starch choices include saffron risotto and spinach, chive and Yukon potatoes. On a summer night, you might want to slip out to the patio for dessert and succumb to the house favorite, bread pudding with chocolate and caramel sauce.
