Take a Date
There for a date with my wife on a Friday afternoon. Service was good, food was great, setting was pleasant and the prices-for the whole experience-was easy!
Mussels may have been the best I have ever had!
My Ribeye literally melted in my mouth!
Cornbread was good.
White Cheaddar Mashed Potaotes are phenominal!
Two good beers.
Wife got a meal, too...for just $43!

Much to be desired
My girlfriend and I frequent the Cleveland Marriott. We decided to go to the Chop House on a recommendation from a friend. What a let down. We made reservations for 6:30 on a Saturday. When we arrived, we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. After waiting another 10 minutes to be noticed by our waitress she took our drink order and dissappeared not arriving back for another 10 minutes. Once she placed our drinks on the table she did not ask if we were ready to order...as a matter of fact, she did not say anything at all! She just put them down and walked away! My girlfriend and I were shocked! I finally had to flag her down to give her our orders. By the time I could get her attention again, our drinks needed refilled. Our food came out after 25 minutes and it was average at best. Everytime she was bothered to bring anything to the table she would set it down and say nothing, turn and walk away! Never were we asked how our food was or if we needed anything else. Absolutely unacceptable for a place like the Chop House. At lease you're asked "do you want fries with that" at Chick Fil A!!! We were completely dissappointed and will not be returning to the Chop House.

While the Chop House probably enjoyed a swell in business - due to the menu's focus on all things protein - the crowds never really stop filling this popular gathering spot. Family get-togethers, bachelor parties and expense-account travelers all share space in the cavernous dining room, which can get fairly boisterous on a weekend evening (or during brunch on a Browns game day). Appetizers include several items that would make a meal, such as the Chop House sampler, a towering selection of shrimp, calamari, onion rings, chicken tenders and grilled portabella mushrooms; and the bourbon beef and barbecue chicken pizzas. (Vegetarians may find more to choose from among the appetizers, too, such as the roasted vegetable pizza, onion rings and spinach dip.) Entrees are served with a salad and dense, sweet cornbread, and include filet mignon, top sirloin and a pepper-crusted New York strip; chicken, tuna, pork and lobster are also among the offerings. The Chop House offers five signature beers and usually features a special, limited offering brew as well.
