dirty, bad service, overpriced
We witnessed several incidents of poor restaurant hygiene as we waited 45 min. for our sandwiches. The staff was harried and miserable (which is no suprise as it is this way every time we've been here). The food really is'nt that great and for the price ($11 for a turkey sandwich and a tablespoon of discolored potato salad)not worth it. Cleanliness is the big issue here, how can this be Kosher?

slyman's is the biggest in town and also very good, but you can't duplicate the taste of corky and lenny's anywhere.there's is authentic jewish/kosher corned beef that you cant get anywhere else.the cb with slaw and cottage fries cant be beat.have had cb all around town and in most parts of the country and corkys is best.

My First Stop When I Come Home
Corky & Lenny's has always the first place I stop to eat when I come back to Cleveland, from my present home in Maryland. I have always found it a very enjoyable experience with great food and service and a true 'Deli' experience, which is becoming harder to find now days. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful whenever I've dined at Corky & Lenny's, even when I've asked for a custom sandwich. The only recommendation, I'd have is, open a Corky & Lenny's in the Maryland Suburbs of Washington DC, so I wouldn't have to travel so far.

This East Side institution is always bustling, but there's no cause for discouragement if the line to be seated stretches the length of the deli case. The staff knows how to get patrons into their seats quickly and efficiently; besides, even a short wait offers customers the chance to whet their appetites for two-inch-thick corned beef sandwiches or consider whether they're in the mood for latkes or knishes, creamed herring or smoked fish. Corky & Lenny's has been operating for decades, three of them at its present Chagrin Boulevard location. Customers swear by the restaurant's cheese blintzes, turkey on rye, lox and bagels, complimentary pickles and, of course, chicken soup. Good for the soul - and the stomach.
