YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY
WOW...I HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIANCE THERE! Actually there will be 5 of us attending tonight and i cant wait!!!!!! Yes it is just a LITTLE expensive and yes you do wait for the chef because they are hoping the table will fill up. So if your gonna go then dont go starving just be hungry enough to enjoy yourself and have a few drinks and talk before you eat. It is a perfect place for a date with your husband or family and friends.

Spectacular!
My husband and I dine here quite often. The Sushi Bar is our favorite but we also order off the menu and sit at the Hibachi table.
We are going to celebrate my mother-in-law's 50th Birthday there with the whole family!
It has recently went under new ownership, last year or so, but the quality of food and service did not parrish.

Spare your colon and your wallet -- avoid this place.
While the service is good at this restaurant, you'll be ripped off when it comes to the quality of the food vice what you're paying for it. My wife and I dined last week, and we were very disappointed. The gyoza are good; our salads were store-bought greens (iceberg lettuce plus shredded red cabbage and carrots) with a small amount of watery dressing. The miso soup was so-so. I had beef yakisoba that was floating on a sea of oil and had virtually no taste; my wife had the ginger pork and received a very small portion of flavorless, over-cooked chunks of meat. It's obvious to me that the cooking staff are hacks who have no idea as to what the food should actually taste like. A proper Japanese restaurant cares about its product and is delicious. Daishin is neither. Save your cash by avoiding this place.

gimme some
I would reccomend this place to anyone! The food is amazing, the portions are big, the price is decent, and the service is good. Everytime I've visited Daishin I have never had to wait for a table. You always get seated right away. The food is to die for. Just an overall good place to go. Definetly a great restaurant.

Don't waste your money!
I went to Daishin in No. Olmsted last Saturday and our whole experience was bad. From the service to the food. First...we waited about 15 minutes at our table before anyone even approached us. Then it took another 15 minutes for us to get our drinks. The chef eventually appeared and it must have been his first night working. He had no idea what he was doing. He was super slow and NOT entertaining at all. Then he didn't have enough food for what the table ordered and had to send someone back to get more shrimp. Then we had to wait for that. Once the food was finally done it was pretty tasteless and the portions were not very big for the price (over $20 for each of our entrees). I called the manager recently to give him a chance to make up for our bad experience and he didn't want to do much for us. We won't be back...and if you're smart you won't go either. There are much better Japanese restaurants around Cleveland!!

Great food and sushi
This hibachi restaurant is great for a nice night out. It is fun and the food is great. The atmosphere is great and the service is adequate. I met my lawyer for sushi there. Imagine a shark eating raw fish.
