the best steakhouse
forget about hyde park, reds, flemings, delmonico's or anywhere else in northern ohio, this place wins hands down.everytime i've been there,I seem to like it more.I've eaten steaks in fla,ny,chi town and L.A.-but it's great to get back to the DG and dine at what truly is the jewel of ohio.

Steak to Die For
Try the strip steak. Truly - it's all I get and I've come here for more than 20 years. Get the home fries. Share them with your mate. My husband gets the fish and he loves it (halibut, grilled) - but I love the strip.
Great baked onions.
Decor - dated and I love it. No changes here -
Comfortable atmosphere- you don't have to dress up, but why not, give the place some class.

Housed in a lone, inconspicuous building in downtown Akron, the Diamond Grille defies its outward modesty by offering a fine-dining experience. Its interior is elegantly simple, allowing the focus to rest on the consistently well-prepared dishes. Steak remains the entree for which patrons keep returning, and the rib eye long-bone is a flavorful, juicy addition to the steak menu. The Diamond Grille cuts its own meat and filets its own fish; this freshness is evidenced in the pan-fried salmon, which is nothing short of succulent. Start the meal with one of several seafood appetizers - such as scampies, herring in sour cream or fresh shrimp cocktail - and be sure to end it with the chocolate martini.
