waste of money and time
Wow what can I say. It took 45 min. to get a beer. Half the stuff on the menu they were out of. We reserved a room for a big party and they were unable to handle simple requests. When we finally did get food it was good (not great), the service was lame. The waiter did not have any idea how bad he was at his job. 1/2 the meals came out and 30 min. later the other 1/2 were served. I got a free beer for the mix up, so sad. What a waste of money and time.

This is one my top favorite restaurants in the city.
The food quality and creativity is four and a half stars...really good. Try the steak salad!
Monday $5 burger night is more fun than going out on a Friday night.
Wish they had a non-red meat alternative, though...maybe a $5 chicken or grilled fish sandwich.
The service staff is expempliary -- servers, bartenders are top drawer with little turnover.
Interestingly, management shows their faces to seat you, check on you, jump in when they're busy. Impressive.
Security. Top drawer. They've got a really big cop who watches over the parking, which is free, by the way.
I love this place.

Birthday
I went here for my mom's 50th birthday. I had the Alaskan King Crab dinner. It was so delicious. The waitress was always checking up on us and our food came quick. The atmosphere was nice. We went around lunch time so there was not alot of people dining there. The bathroom was little. I didn't like that. Overall the restauraunt is a nice place to eat at besides being a little expensive but it is worth it because the food is GREAT :-)

Used to be great!
This was one of my favorite places for seafood 30 years ago.I ate here 2 months ago, food is just not that good anymore. I guess it doesnt help that I hate the remodel job.(they should of never turned it into a -bistro-). And ambience is like 50 percent of the dining experience. On the other hand Dons Pomeroy House in Strongsville never disappoints. I think their food has remained consistant over the years.

It's appropriate that Don's Lighthouse is located just off the west end of Cleveland's shoreway - after all, a restaurant specializing in seafood gains credibility when located by the sea (or, in this case, the lake). But all nature's wonders get a nod here: Murals of earth, water and sky prove a cozy setting for diners perusing a menu featuring fare from both sea and land. Order from a selection of classic entrees including surf and turf, crab cakes and several fresh fish choices; for something less conventional, try the shrimp gnocchi, a generous amount of large Gulf shrimp served with spinach, tomatoes and garlic gnocchi in a light lobster cream sauce. If you still have room, don't pass up the deep-dish crÅme br?lee, a delightful end to a delicious evening out.
