Saving to come back!
Been here on a couple of occasions and of course very special ones at that. Have always been happy and privileged to come to a Restaurant that not only is classy, serves one of the best Salads! and for atmosphere and food I think should be recognized more locally if not nationally. Me and my wife always savor the moments and those special occasions when we visit Pomeroy House. If we could maybe drop the price a bit, maybe our visits could become more frequent.

This stately restaurant isn't out to break any boundaries, but isn't content to stay entirely within them, either. The classic ""Taste of New England"" includes a steamed whole Maine lobster, half a dozen steamed clams, potatoes and corn on the cob (if you order it, prepare to wear a bib featuring a disconcertingly jaunty lobster and the phrase ""Time to get crackin'!""). Other entrees, like the Cajun-pecan crusted South American tilapia and pan-fried walleye with fried green tomatoes, poached pears and chipotle honey, reflect more exotic influences. The menu is predominantly seafood and therefore subject to change; chicken, beef, pork and lamb entrees round out the selections. Wrap up your night with a mini crÅme br?lee trio: The desserts (Baileys Irish Cream, chocolate espresso and vanilla) are topped with caramelized sugar. The more casual Pub, located in the lower level, features live entertainment and a full bar.

A real shame
This place would be perfect if they would just get rid of the cigarette smoke. It's disgusting. We had to leave before ordering as it was like sitting in an ashtray. When paying these prices, you should be able to smell and taste your food.

We need to duplicate this atmosphere
This is one of the best places around...great food..and a downstairs pub that serves the same great food...and has a cozy, friendly feeling also. For people over 40,50 this is great.....interesting customers...some very attractive ladies come in unescorted...which seems to be rare these days...I wish we had one on the east side.....great destination choice....
