Not what I expected August 01, 2006 Food Service Atmosphere Cleanliness Overall        I visited Eddie's Creekside on a very hot Summer night in July. The patio was closed due to the heat. They did not want their waitress's to get over-heated. I understood that and was happy to sit inside. The outside is more atmospheric, you sit out over the metro-parks, the insdie is having an identity crisis. The bar looks hip and trendy, the restaurant looks like a diner. The waitresses uniforms are very 1980's. We ordered a glass of wine and water. It must have taken 10-15 mintutes for these items to come out and we did not get our water until the end of the meal. We then ordered an appetizer. We ordered Spinich and Artichoke dip. The dip was very soupy and had no flavor at all. We later ordered deserts which was divine. June 03, 2005        Those who stumble across Eddie's Creekside soon learn what makes this restaurant a favorite among locals. A serene setting - the dining room and bar overlook a wooded ravine - and a proud family tradition come together to produce one enjoyable meal after another. Owner Eddie Cerino is part of a family of local restaurateurs. His pizza recipes have been in the Cerino family for more than 40 years; breads and rolls are made in the bakery on the premises, and soups are prepared in-house daily. Dinners include walleye (baked, blackened, breaded or beer-battered), pork chop ê la forestiÅre (a 10-ounce French-cut chop, broiled and served in a porcini brown sauce with potato apple cake and Italian green beans), and Cerino's chicken and spinach lasagna (chicken poached in red wine and layered with fresh spinach, ricotta and mozzarella cheeses). A market at the front of the restaurant sells wine, deli fare and baked goods. Review By:
