Amazing
I have no clue why there are all these bad reviews because El Rodeo is my favorite! The food is amazing and its for a great price too. It's a wonderful family restaurant. Also, on mondays theres a clown "Bobo" that will make balloons for your kids. I go here ALL the time. A couple times a month. Great everything! Never had bad service. If your looking for a place where the servers are always at your throat and never leave your alone this is not the place for you. Its a very relaxed enviroment but the service is good.

Maybe things have changed
My family and I relocated to this area 2 summers ago. Since then El Rodeo has become one of our family favorites. The portions are large, the prices are reasonable, the food has excellent flavor and our service has never failed to be great. If I had read these reviews before I tried it out then maybe I wouldn't have tried it at all. Everyone is different so don't let someone elses negative experience be your final decision in trying out something new, you may fall in love with it!

back to border...
Went for a quiet lunch or early dinner with my husband. Only two other couples in the resturant. One left shortly after we arrived and were complaining as we sat down. We should have taken this as a hint to leave right then.
Given menus and no one came back with salsa or chips, or for our order. My husband had to grab someone and ask for our waiter. There were plenty of waiters or servers.
The couple behind us had aparently been there a while drinking more than eating and were very loud and vulgar. The staff were more interested in watching the fun, than asking them to quiet down, or attending to us.
Once order was taken, took almost 35 minutes for one taco platter and one fahata platter with chicken shrimp and beef...as stated before the food arrived burnt. Very dry and disapointing.
No one ever ask about our meal, refilled our glasses or even brought us a check.
We had to ask for that also. With no help in the dining area, we could have just walked out. Although we should not have paid for the dinner because of the quality and service.. we still could not just leave.
We have coupons for there and have tried to give them to others, with no luch! no one wants them.

El baddo eats
We took a party of five there for dinner in Jan '07. Very disappointing. No one enjoyed their dinner and service was poor.
Meals with beef had dried burnt scraps and chicken dishes were also dry and tasteless. Salsa was OK, about equal to grocery jar salsas.
We won't ever be back. (Very noisy restaurant also)

Love this place
Great Mexican food and cheap prices, the decor is ever evolving, its so cheery inside, Salsas to hot for husband but I love it. Margaritas in 4 sizes and with any kind of liquor added. The chamboard mararita is so tasty

OK Mexican food
OK mexican food, bad service. I had finished my ice tea and then finished my dinner before I was even offered an refill. The server did not even ask about our meal. They had a mariachi band there last night and they sounded great. They are the draw, not the food.

A Decent Place for Mexican food
Decent Mexican food at reasonable prices with large portions. Has pretty much every dish you expect out of a Mexican restaurant. Food is not terribly hot-- you can ask the waiter for the hotter salsa, if you like spicy.
