Excellelent Food, HUGE Portions, A bit pricey but worth it.
This was my first visit to Fosters. I've driven by the place many times on the way to the bank or Post Office, but I always had a chore to do and never gave the Tavern any thought, until tonight. It was about 6:00 PM on a Friday, and the place was packed. We ended up in the lower overflow seating area. But to their credit even though we were out of view, we were never out of mind. The waitress came down to check on us frequently.
My wife and I had the Beer battered Cod fish fry, and I also ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder. That was a mistake. The fish portions were so huge I ran out of space long before I was finished clearing my plate. The chowder was served in a giant bowl and was easily the best I've ever had. It was stuffed with corn, diced potatoes, carrots and celery. And there must have been more than a cup of fresh clams that weren't a bit chewy. Everything was homemade and tasted great.
The only downside, if you call it that, was the price. We had 1 mixed drink, 1 Diet Coke, 2 Beer Batter Cod Fish diners, and 1 Bowl of Clam Chowder. Total, about $43.00. Granted, this is a lot more expensive than McDonald's. But you're getting more than a meal if you take home your leftovers. And you'll be eating one of the best meals in Medina County.
The best thing I can say about Fosters is that we'll assuredly be back again.

WAAAAHHHHHH!
Once again, I had to write about the Tavern. I have already remarked on Michelle's consistently great dishes (so reminiscent of my Mom's cooking) and this time I have to comment on Brian. He is the best bartender I've ever had the pleasure of drinking for! I absolutely LOVE his dry sense of humor and his knowledge of various beer and wine. If you take the time to get to know him, you'll understand his humor and will not enjoy it anywhere else. He totally cracks me up!
xoxoxxo to Brian, Michelle, Lisa, Maria, Vanessa, Dawn, Liz and June. We love all of you! (hope I didn't leave anyone out) And best regards to Betts and Don who had the vision in the first place. TOP NOTCH

I WIL BE BACK IN THE MONTH OF NEVUARY!!!
THE PIZZA TOOK 50 MINUTES TO BE SERVED; WHICH IS 20 MINUTE PROCESS, THE PRICE WAS OUTRAGEOUS; I'VE ATE FOR LESS AT THE BALLGAME...THE OWNER SAT AT THE BAR AND CHAIN SMOKED WHERE PEOPLE WERE BEING SERVED FOOD; WHICH IS A DIRECT VIOLATION OF OHIO STATE LAW IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY AWARE. THE OWNERS SON MINDING THE BAR THREW OUT A RACIAL COMMENT, TELLING A PATRON WHO DID NOT MAKE BACK WHAT HE SPENT ON HIS LOTTERY TICKET THAT THE DIFFERENCE BOUGHT A BLACK KID A BOOK! THIS PLACE SHOULD LOSE THEIR LICENSE TO SERVE FOOD WITH THE OWNER SITTING THERE POLLUTING THE AIR HIS PATRONS BREATHE; AND BY THE WAY, THE PIZZA SUCKED.

MEDINA COUNTY'S best kept secret
Michelle 'Meesh' is a wonderful & gourmet cook! Her meals rival my grandma's & mothers. Down-home, feel-good food that keeps me coming back weekly. Her 'specials' are priced right & portions are hearty. Brian & company make it feel like your having dinner at home. Great conversations & good natured ribbing add to a delightful lunch or evening. GREAT JOB to both Foster's & Woody's pizza!! Keep up the good work.

I am a regular and I order food to go whenever I can. Michelle is awesome! It doesn't matter what you order, it's always fresh to go. She is humble and always appreciates a nice comment to go along with her delicious homemade food. We absolutely LOVE her!
PS The pizza is out of this world and is made to order. If you don't see her, she is polishing her halo somewhere in the back. We love you , Michelle!

FROM STEAK TO FISH; THE BEST!
The atmosphere is a friendly down home kind of place, no matter what time of day you are there. The drinks are VERY GOOD, whether a beer or a martini or anything in between. The food outstanding! And the Barmaids are friendly and very fast with whatever you need or want. Just ask for Lisa, she's the best!!

First time to Fosters. We live in North Carolina. They have the BEST pizza ever. I will be flying back soon to get more pizza. The attmosphere was perfect, just like Cheers!The staff was very nice, helpful and cheerful.

Clean fun and food
A wonderful place to stop and have a beer very clean and the food is wonderful ! Brian the batender is a fun guy with dry humor you have to enjoy! The burgers are wonderful!! All the girls and staff are super nice!

Car Jumpin!
Nicest Folks, love the atmosphere, just had a happy, relaxing time. We were taking a long way home from Richfield to Rocky River and happened to see Fosters Tavern. So happy to find friendly bartenders, excellent food and very CLEAN facilties. Special thanks to the pretty blonde bar manager planning the Octoberfest menu, she helped us jump our 1977 Alfa Romeo spider.

Don't let the elegant exterior fool you...
...the food and service inside are great. The only place to go for burgers and fries, and the balogna sandwiches are a specialty. The bar selection is wide-ranging (as is the bar's clientel). If it weren't for the buzzards, this place is what Hinckley would be known for.

Here we come........
Lived in Parma, for 25 years and fished the lake since I was lil". I have been going to this place since I was old enough, and the food has gotten better than ever. Clams were awesome, burger was to die for, service was awesome. Now I live in the Rocky Mountains and can't wait to come back again. Good job Don & staff, see you in September.

Hearty lunch after sledding...
Wonderful timing as we pulled in for a bite to eat after hitting the Hinckley sledding hill... The menu has all these quirky specials and pizza for the kids. And, pizza is what we got. Fabulous ~ piping hot with the stringy cheese. We were impressed with this local little joint that was a cross between a restaurant and a bar... Very unique with excellent pizza, a warm fireplace fireplace and just the right price!!!

Well the place is looking better then ever, they have put alot of money into beautifing the tavern and eating area. The best thing is they are back to making the small lunch pizza. I don't know about you but it is a Great place to go.

WOW - now that's a BURGER !!!
If your in Medina county you have to stop for this... My girlfriend who lives in Hinckley dragged me to this local restaurant. Wow, I was surprised... Started off with a bowl of mussels swimming in a garlic butter sauce with a crispy chuck of bread ~ I'm hungry all over again. I ordered for dinner the 1 pound Black Angus Burger cooked to order with amazing HOMEMADE french fries along with a cold draft ~ Yummy! I guess they are well known for there fried bologna sandwich ~ my friend had that ~ Great portion and the taste was something from your childhood. There was so many choices ~ Brian (the bartender) says they get that alot.
From what I gather this a favorite spot for the regulars for lunch and dinner. What a fabulous place the bar is old style with a recent remodel dining room up front overlooking the quiet burg of Hinckley.
Make this your next stop for great food with your friends...

Get a big one @ Woodys .............Pizza
I've been going to fosters fpr 8 yrs, and never had a bad time there. The food has always been excellant. As far as it being dirty, I,m there early in the day and brian is always cleanning or organizing the area and getting ready for the customers, and alot have been comming for years. The pizza is the best in medina,and summit county. Just wanted to say thanks for the good times and good food.

overpriced & dirty, but great burgers
Outstanding burgers but the place is so gross will only go back for take out. Also, the burger is $13 and if you want veggies instead of fries it's another $2.50???? The staff is also pretty dirty and I can't even imagine what the kitchen looks like....
