Still great!

Ate my first Frankie's pizza in late 60's and had lunch there weekly. When I moved to FL I actually had pregnancy craving for Frankie's pizza but nobody would bring me one! Nothing here compares. Even now when I visit OH my family knows we will be getting your pizza. They love it too. My question is this: is there anyway you can ship some frozen pizzas to FL using dry ice. We have a restaurant here in FL that sends its cakes everywhere in the US using dry ice..so can you?

Old World Italian

My wife and I are big fans of vintage Italian restaurants and Frankie's Italian cuisine did not disappoint us. The restaurant reminds me of one of my Columbus favorites - The Florentine. Some might say the decor is somewhat dated, but they're missing the point. The decor is a big part of the charm. Much like The Florentine, they've been doing business since 1967. We started off with a shared appetizer of fried calamari and progressed to a fresh dinner salad. I had the veal parmesan (delicious homemade sauce) for $17.95 and my wife had the chicken marsala for $16.95. We split a homemade cannoli for dessert. Great food, reasonable prices, delightful atmosphere and good service made for a memorable evening. Michael Armstrong Bexley, Ohio

Salad to go

My freind Bought an antipasta salad, and bread to go it came in a plastic container with dressing on the side. I bought a house salad to go,it came in a styrofoam cup cheese in a bag and chicken in a bag no plastic container to mix it in. very displeased his cost $10.80 mine cost $10.75 they told there was nothing they could do that this is how they've done it for 20 years, not at all happy i can get a better salad at Wendy's cheaper and better.

Over 1,000,000 served!

We have eaten literally hundreds of Frankies pizzas over the past 40+ years... No longer live in NE Ohio, but when we do visit, we go to Frankies. We started going when it was still on Butternut Ridge Rd/Lorain Rd. The best pizza I have ever eaten and I tell tons of people about it.

is that really a large pizza???

We brought home 2 large pizzas from Frankies last night and we were very unpleasantly surprised at how small they had gotten. It looked like a medium, but with the cost of a large. It is still the same delicious pizza as it was many years ago ( I even used to work there ) but we will not order from Frankies again until they learn the meaning of what a large pizza should be.

Best pizza and salads!

Growing up in OH, I visited Frankies often. All I can say is, I now live in AZ, and when I visit OH, I make it a point to go there. The sausage on the pizza is excellent, as is the sauce and crust. Their house salad, while simple, is awesome!!

I love this place! Excellent food, and a westside landmark!

We've been taking the family to Frankie's for years now. The place is a dependable west side landmark for laid back, informal Italian dining for a long time now. Their awesome pizza is in my 'top 3' list in all of NE Ohio, and the food tastes great, with no dissapointments. Their dinner salad, with the optional grated mozzarella cheese and sweet house dressing is 'to die for'. My only complaint is the service, which is often too slow. The atmosphere is casual, informal, and laid back, with a welcoming decor and dining area. Frankie's is a west side institution, and I highly recommend it!

Fantastic Food, BUT

Is Sweetest Day a national holiday Well, Frankie's doesn't honor coupons on this "holiday" We don't go out very often for a nice dinner(which dinner was GREAT)and without our children unless we have coupons(money is tough and when we can save we do) I was very disappointed that the waitress didn't offer for us to speak to a manager about the subject. And I didn't want to cause a scence.

Fantastic Food and Service

Took the wife out a few weeks ago to Frankie's for dinner. Service was great. We were met at the door, seated, presented with menu's and took our drink order. Dinner came out fast, serving size was HUGE, and damn was it GOOD.Gotta go back!

Years Ago

Back in the late 70's, my friends and I used to hit Frankie's after the movies...when there was a movie theater across the street. I am THRILLED that Frankie's is still there. I am planning a visit to N. Olmsted from Massachusetts in August. I will definitely get a pizza from Frankie's as the pizza here in Central Mass could not hold a candle to Frankie's!

Excellent place for dinner!

My son, who is going to college nearby, told me about this place, tucked away in a plaza on Great Northern Blvd. We had salad, bread, and their homemade pizza and all of it was EXCELLENT! The atmosphere was also great! I plan on going back real soon!
