HAD TO ARGUE TO GET WHAT I ORDERED

I came for the veal francais, which was what I ordered. I was brought veal scallapini. When told the waitress this isn't what I ordered she insisted that it was. Twice I corrected her and said I ordered the veal francais. Finally she agreed to reorder my meal. I ate my tired salad of rusty, wilted lettuce and consumed nearly a whole loaf of wonderful bread. I had been in the restaurant nearly 40 minutes when the wrong meal came out and another 45-50 for the right meal. By then I was tired, filled up on bread and not in a very good mood. The sugary marinara sauce on the pasta was truly awful, the green beans were okay and the veal francais was to die for. Unfortunately, that will probably be my one and only trip to Antonios.

Great Food, Great Atmosphere, Great Prices

Enjoyed the vintage restaurant feel of Antonio's. Food was excellent. Ordered a large pizza with two toppings and wasn't disappointed. Love the atmosphere. Service could use some improvement, but nothing to really complain about. Overall, a great experience.

Holy Deep Dish!

My Wife and I went last week, we ordered the Special Salad, and it was really good, we finished with the Chicago Deep Dish which was excellent,..we took half of it home it was so thick..!! our waitress sucked though... I had to ask for more coffee for my wife and to refill my pepsi.. I could clearly see her just standing around with the other staff bullshiting.. food was great, but the wait staff needs a kick in the ass

Sugary Eggplant!!

We went to Antonio's for lunch. My husband had a Calzone and son had a pepperoni pizza which they enjoyed - they used a different sauce for the Eggplant. My food was horrible!! The Eggplant Stack sauce was soo sweet, it was bordering on a dessert! Complained to the waitress, and was told I was the 4th person who told her that-maybe they didn't believe the other 3? And on top off all that my knife had some dried green food stuck on it!! Needless to say my meal was removed from our bill (thank goodness) and I promise I will never eat there again!!

gross!

Food was dry and must have been sitting under a heat light for some time befor I recived it. My server was very polite, but the other staff I can not say the same for. I heard arguing coming from the kitchen, and the hostess was rude. I will not be back for seconds!

Birthday Lunch at Antonios

First, I was able to make reservations for lunch for 14. Second, they were agreeable to separate checks and there was no tip incorporated with the total. They seated us by the glass windows which I requested. We ordered from the lunch specials which were tasty and well prices. I ordered a cake for the birthday girl (70) and the hostess came over and said that each of us would receive ice cream. What a treat. Our waitress was pleasant, efficient and well groomed for the position. Everyone enjoyed themselves and commented on the good food. I am suggesting Antonios to my Bible Class for their Christmas Party. I first enjoyed Antonio's Lunch Special in the 70's at their Snow and Stumph location. All of us Motorola workers ate lunch there.

Antonios parmatown is a very authentic restaurant and so delicious. The atmosphere and service is very homely and welcoming the homemade recipes with their own bread and dressing is amazing. Pizza is always fantastic and fresh. Best family place to enjoy Italian in parma

Beyond Sad

Where do I start? To say the place needs restoration is being polite. The bathrooms are beyond old and outdated and smell horrible!!!! The cheese and chicken Manicotti was beyond nothing more than cheese with pizza sauce on it..No chicken. We also got a pasta dish(cant remember the name) that was a bowl full of pasta piling up with the wine sauce at the bottom of the bowl leaving the piled up pasta on top dry and tasteless. The place was empty, yet it took us forever to get a refill on Wine or water. Close to us we were treated with one of the employees yelling at others "to find her lighter" non-stop. If this place had any imagination or wanting to step in the modern world, they would stop catering to old people by giving a ton of food on a plate that will just get taken home. The money being spent on take away containers and the ridiculous amounts of food being giving away could pay for a restoration and get some new customers in there.

You can't put American Cheese in Stromboli and call it Stromboli!

Sorry...am new in town and was very excited to find Stromboli on almost every menu around as I couldn't get it where I moved from (Chicago, if you can believe that.) Decided on Antonio's, even though the menu states "American cheese." What was I thinking? This should not be called stromboli...the only thing remotely stromboli about it was it's roundish shape and side of sauce. As for the "Jumbo Wings" with "Signature BBQ Buffalo Ranch Sauce" not so much either. The wings are not jumbo nor would I call the flavor "signature." It was lacking flavor to say the least. Not sure if I'll give them another try for their pizza. There are so many choices around....we'll see.

Wedded Bliss!

Our daughter and son-in-law were married 09-09-09 and we had a wedding dinner at Antonio's and we could not have asked for a better time or service! They were very accomodating and met all of our expectations! Thank you, Antonio's! It was a wonderful experience.

We had a Great Night at Antonio's

My wife and I decided to try out Antonio's last Friday after hearing that it was Drew Carey's favorite pizza spot, and we had a great night. We started at the bar and had a few drinks. The alcohol was decently priced, and they had wide selection of liquor. We met a guy there who introduced us to the owner and her daughter, two very nice people. My wife and I ordered a delicious large Deluxe Pizza, with beer battered fries, all were excellent! Will eat here again!

The Old Bait-N-Switch

Please read this review if you are planning to go Antonio's Parmatown location. I really wanted to like Antonio's Parmatown. The place looked cozy, and they had an autographed picture of Drew Carey on the wall. The decor was romanesque, and classy. Looks can be deceiving. I ordered the "Chicken and Spinach Manicotti Special" off the menu. It was reasonably priced at around $11. After about five bites, I started to wonder where the chicken was. There wasn't any. Incredulous, I took a few more bites. I realized that I had been given meatless cheese manicotti. I was embarassed to admit that I had been given the wrong item after eating half of it and just decided to stay quiet. I was definitely disappointed though. When it came time to pay, I gave the waiter an "Antonio's gift card" I received from a church fundraiser. The waiter promptly returned the card and said "We don't accept tan gift cards, we only accept red ones." "The tan ones are for pizza express locations." The gift card was clearly marked "Antonio's." There was no mention on the menu or at the hostess station about gift cards not being accepted. We protested politely and the waiter said "You can talk to the hostess." We were intimidated by the hostess however because she spent the entire night berating the wait staff within earshot. She seemed like she was ready for a good fight, so my wife and I surrendered, defeated, disappointed and vowing never to return.
